Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Nancy Garhan Attebury
This delightful Nat adventure brings Nantucket to life! In doing so, it allows curious readers to learn about the area while they have fun searching for Nat the Cat in each people-filled and activity-filled illustration. The search for Nat takes some time, but is worth the effort and will have readers wanting to look at the book more than once. Each double-page spread contains four lines of rhyming text that holds a lot of information. Text covers Steamboat Wharf, the Cranberry Festival, the shops, the Atheneum, Straight Wharf, the Whaling Museum, the beach and other places. Readers learn what they can see and do while a tourist in Nantucket. Top and bottom page borders add interest and are filled with items that could be found at the place mentioned on each spread. This book is a sure winner for any school group to read before visiting Nantucket or for any family who is visiting the town. In addition to being fun, it is highly educational.
