Every summer George visits his grandfather who has a workshop where he carves everything, including wooden dragons. Grandfather spins tales about a huge dragon living in the mountains and when George wonders about being too old to believe in such creatures his grandfather takes him on a dragon hunt. Grandfather dons his dragon-hunting hat and off they go in a wooden boat carrying an odd assortment of gear. Grandfather misses some clues—clues readers will gleefully pick up as they follow this wonderful foray into the land of dragons.     A wonderful lap book for elementary aged children.

    A wonderful lap book that encourages reading, looking, and talking. The textured pages keep the interest of tactile kinesthetic learners. The illustrations are engaging.

    Amazing Book, Fun for Kids and Adults

    We discovered this book at Ikea of all places, having never heard of it before. My daughter is one-years old and loves books. She was happily pulling several down from a shelf, but immediately stopped to look at this one for twenty minutes. It is a favorite now, and is one my husband and I love to read to her as well. The illustrations are fantastic. You see something new each time you look at them.

    We love this book!

    My daughter is two and loves finding all the hidden dragons in this beautiful book. Some are more obvious than others, but as she got used to looking for the eyes or other special features, she's gotten very good at picking them out and asks for 'dragon book' all the time!
