Each double page spread shows an animal parent asking its baby if it has had or made a poop today, and each page has three flaps to lift to find the poop, and there always is a poop to find. On the last page, in a modern bathroom there is the opportunity to lift the seat of a toilet and find a poop in there, too.     Highly Recommended

    This book is soooo much fun! My daughter loved lifting the flaps to discover where different animals hide their poop. It gave us a light-hearted way to approach the discussion and was exactly what we needed to help combat her fears about pooping in the potty. Before my daughter would only say I do not want to discuss it! Now she enjoys the book as she sits on the potty and by the time she is done with the book she adds her own ending to the story by including herself and her poop! This book has made going to the potty a less-stressful experience.

    Disregard the "offical" reviews--this book is really helpful

    Like Taro Gomi's classic "Everyone Poops", this book is great for helping young children get over the hump of toilet training by explaining the natural fact that everyone--and everything--poops. The lift-the-flap format is a favorite for toddlers, and keeps the tone light and fun. Those reviewers who take issue with any book that plainly speaks about bodily functions have clearly forgotten what it's like to toilet train a toddler: keep it simple, keep it honest, and be as encouraging as possible. This book is an excellent addition to any potty-training library.

    Where's the Poop? by Julie Markes, Susan Hartung

    My kids love this book. They love the lift-the-flaps and the idea that we are reading about a "taboo" subject. They giggle through the whole reading, but it teaches them about proper toiletry habits, too.

    Great book for toddler learning how to use the potty.

    I was hesitant in ordering this book based on the reviews. I didn't know what I would expect from this book. But it's actually a sweet book with great pictures of animals habitats. The poops are behind flaps and merely "brown balls", nothing graphic to detail or gross to view. My toddler is into animals and with this book he loves all the baby jungle animals with either their mommy or daddy. I would recommend this to anyone who is starting to potty train their toddler, especially if their toddler is hesitant to poop in a potty as mine is.

    The title says it all, a very funny book for potty time.

    My son absolutely adores this book and is very interactive in turning the flaps to find the poop. We have read it so many times that I have to change things up (i.e. finding big and small poops, and sometimes even singing it).

    Very Different Approach

    I seen this book at the store and flipped through the pages myself and thought it was pretty cute. I am working on potty training and my daughter has the hardest time pooping on the toilet. Hopefully this book will help. She actually just ran away to hide and poop in the middle of typing this...I almost caught her in time. I like how the book shows that even animals have a place to poop. You may need to tell your child that the elephant doesn't like to poop all over the place he likes to go behind the rock because there is not much describing that, but this book is still very neat.

    Where's the Poop?

    Where's the Poop did not seem like a book that would teach a child to poop in the potty.The book was more about where animals poop and what animal poop looks like.I do not think this is the best book to use when teaching youre child where to poop.
