Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Nicole Peterson Davis
This is the twenty-fifth anniversary compendium of puzzling puzzles. One puzzle is a "do it yourself" version of the original Where's Waldo. There is one page that has all different types of hats, and the person using the book should draw tiny people underneath each hat to create their own scene. Another page has a word wheel, and one must find five words using three or more letters in the wheel. Of course, there is a lot of finding going on in this book, but there are also riddles, puzzles, mazes, tongue twisters, finding games, drawing, and sequence recognition games. This book gives children a fun way to use their creativity and imaginations to learn valuable skills that are helpful in all aspects of life, such as recall, memorization, sequencing, reading, and even math. The back section of the book contains an answer key for all of the puzzles in the previous pages. There are so many varied activities in this book that it would keep a middle reader occupied for several hours. Reviewer: Nicole Peterson Davis
