I'm sooo into futuristic romance novels but this story was so well written with a subtle play bringing in and explaining the futuristic aspect you find your self swept away in storyline and less concerned with the placement of time. It's rare to find a read where all of the characters are so descriptive that you not only find them memorable but somewhat fascinated to the point you'd like to see a bit more into their lives. Whimsey, Gaedrian, Dark, Chaldor, Serri even her little sister Veracity are characters that I found myself invested in though some of them held presence in only a few pages in the book. I also found myself wondering more so about Dark. I like that we finally have a peek into who and why Dark is there and so loyal to Gaedrian. From the moment he entered the book, I kept hoping to see more of his character. He was unique and I'm hoping with the ending that Thayer left, there might be a possibility to later explore what could possibly happen with Dark evolving into a man and maybe also exploring the possibility of Veracity and he establishing a relationship. As her character seems full of life and fearless, she could be an interesting mate for Dark (hint hint for a sequel!) I've read this book 15 times since reading it. never write reviews but this book is definitely worth the read!!!!! i just love the story it's so HOT!!!!

    Ok read but not great

For a futuristic book this one was written in an easy to understand way. You could really picture this world the author created. I liked the story but not so much our lead herione whimsy, her niave and stupid and frustrating actions got old fast. I liked our male hero and our other main male character "dark" very much but whimsy was too annoying..all in all a decent read.
