"Saign takes readers to an intricate, magical world filled with new adventures, old enemies, and more than a little bit of danger. Heroine Sam discovers her own personal strength while also finding the familial love she thought she lost when her mother passed away. WhipEye is an intense page-turner that will keep readers wondering what comes next and how Sam and her friends will defeat nearly insurmountable odds."
-Jillian Bergsma, Contributing Editor, Independent Publisher

"WhipEye is a gripping, imaginative adventure from start to finish. I didn't want to put it down until the very last page! I think Gorgon is the best book in the series so far! The author, Geoffrey Saign, brought all the characters to life. Sam is my favorite character because of her passion for wildlife, and her kindness and compassion for others--animals and humans alike. Gorgon is an amazing book and I cannot wait for book three!
-Nicholas, 5-star Review LitPick.com

"Loved the book! My grade 5 teachers...have read chapter 1 to the kids! They are begging for more! Gorgon is the book you start to read and can't put down until you're done. Mr Saign does it again, just when you think you have it figured out, there's another element added to Jake and Sam's adventure. Captivating read for all ages!! Can't wait for book #3! I am going to buy books for the school library, it won't be on the shelf long!"
-Carol Thoma, Media Specialist, Bailey Elementary

"After reading WhipEye, I was anxious to read the sequel ... I was not disappointed!
As much as I liked the first book, I enjoyed Gorgon even more. The character development, action, and pacing kept me hooked and, as the story neared the end, I found myself anticipating what questions may be answered in his next book, Drasine."

"... one of the most imaginative tales I have read in a very long time. I recommend it to all readers who enjoy the theme of good versus evil in a majestically magical battle which trumps any fantasy tale I have ever read."
- Rosie Malezer 5-Star review from Readers' Favorite

"The author created a very polished read with well-developed characters and easy flowing dialogue. This is a book I would expect to be offered by a large publishing house as the attention to detail is definitely there."

Reviewed by Rosie Malezer for Readers' Favorite WhipEye is the first book of the WhipEye Chronicles by Geoffrey Saign. On the one-year anniversary of her mother’s death, twelve-year-old Samantha makes her way to the Endless Pet Store in Minnesota to talk to her favorite parrot, Charlie. After receiving menacing looks from the store manager, Magnar, Samantha finds a way to sneak in to see the bird, but is shocked when Charlie starts having an intellectual conversation with her, demanding that she break him out of the pet store immediately, lest he die at Magnar’s hands. After Charlie’s release, both he and Samantha escape, with Magnar giving chase at a supernatural pace while threatening to kill her. Magnar is stopped by Rose, a newcomer in town, who possesses a magical staff called WhipEye. After being warned by Rose never to touch the alluring staff, Samantha runs home. On her arrival, Samantha and her eleven-year-old neighbor, Jake, become privy to an incredibly dark secret regarding Magnar, Methuselah creatures, and a secret, magical world where Rose, Charlie, and both children are forced to flee Magnar’s evil wrath. When tragedy strikes, ownership of the staff is transferred. Time is not on her side as Samantha, with the help of the WhipEye and her dedicated sidekick, Jake, needs to find a way to defeat Magnar, destroy the golden rings, and release the Methuselahs entombed within – a task far easier said than done, especially for a twelve-year-old. With luck, Samantha will survive long enough to celebrate her twelfth birthday before the day ends. From the very start, Geoffrey Saign’s well-written adventure had me hooked on every word. With a vast cocktail of emotions spread throughout, WhipEye was well-balanced with humor, action, adventure, tragedy and drama, forcing the lead character to lower the walls she had built since her mother had died, while also learning to believe in herself again. A brief moment of Samantha’s father snapping out of his melancholia in order to protect his daughter was a refreshing surprise, especially after he had barely interacted with her for so very long. While the story was quite busy, each scene blended seamlessly into the next, creating the perfect recipe for any great children’s book. All of the characters were fully explained, enabling younger readers to keep up at all times. I very much enjoyed WhipEye, which is easily one of the most imaginative tales I have read in a very long time. I recommend it to all readers who enjoy the theme of good versus evil in a majestically magical battle which trumps any fantasy tale I have ever read.

Given To Me For An Honest Review WhipEye: WhipEye Chronicles by Geoffrey Saign has a beautiful cover.  It is a fast paced read and would not be one for young children  under 12.  This book will grab you, hold you down on the edge of your seat and the pages will turn and turn and turn and turn some more  and before you know it you will be at the end of the book.  You'll most likely be planning to re-read it again.  There are twists and turns and  I'll tell you those kept me on my toes and will keep you on yours too.  Our main character is Sam.  She is a lonely girl whose mother recently  died.  She loves going to the pet store to "visit" Charlie, a parrot.  One day she runs away with Charlie.  They go to the forest to find Lady  Rose.  She gives them a staff with powers, Whipeye.  They decide to go back.  They know that before long if things aren't protected, worlds  will collide.  This book is about friendship, honesty, righteousness, and overcoming tragedy.  I also see it as one of helping each other no matter what.  Once you get to the end of the book, you'll be wanting more.  But, never fear ....... Sequel.  This is a great fantasy novel.  I  gave this book 5 stars but I feel it deserves many more.  I highly recommend this book to everyone, especially if you enjoy reading fantasy  books.  I look for more from Geoffrey Saign.
