Loved the explanation of rod bending and threading techniques. Will be using many of the ideas to help the neighborhood kids construct targets for air-soft guns that they got for Christmas.
I really enjoyed it it was really worth my money and time.
I have not had so much fun since I watched my father build some Whirligigs. I find the directions easy, well defined, not hard even for me to do. This book is well worth having, I have made the bird and a couple of fish so I can hang them on our camper when we go out for fishing on the weekends.
I was expecting a book with some ideas and patterns and "HOW TO" information, but it was not useful at all.
Simple and direct. Not complex. This is great for beginner's trying their skills at woodworking 101 and feeling like something has been accomplished. It's something that can be done alone but partnering with another novice or even skilled woodworker makes the "work" seem more like "fun". And it is! It is a confidence builder in that something has been created by your hands and has benefit. These are great to use as handmade toys and gifts. Enjoy!
