Meet the Author

Liliana Hart spent five years teaching music in the public education system. She molded America’s youth, busted kids for smoking pot in the restrooms, and broke up illicit affairs behind the stage on a regular basis, so she finally decided to hang up her hat and let someone else have all the fun. (Liliana’s Addison Holmes Mystery Series, about a small town teacher who gets into a whole lot of trouble, is somewhat autobiographical, but she won’t confess to which parts).Liliana began reading romance novels with all her new found free time, and when she ran out of things to read, she decided to write her own novels. The result was a 150,000 word thriller—a dazzling adventure—where the heroine was a thirty-year-old virgin assassin (Yes, you read that right). She couldn’t imagine why people weren’t knocking down her door to read it, but she persevered through the rejections and began writing a second book. She finally got the hang of things and eventually learned that losing one’s virginity wasn’t all that romantic after all. All of her books involve some kind of suspense (she just can't help herself), laughter, and a lot of steamy sex.Since the failure of her first writing attempt, Liliana’s books have gone on to win awards such as: The Daphne Du Maurier, The Suzannah, The Linda Howard Award of Excellence, The Maggie, and many others. Her affiliations include Romance Writers of America and Mystery Writers of America.Liliana loves to cook and is addicted to reading, Internet Boggle, kickboxing, and Bones. She lives in a big, rambling house in Texas with a couple of cats to keep her company. She loves to get emails from readers.Enjoy the Adventures!

    Well written and entertaining!

    Review by Ursula:

An entertaining, fun read. Addison has a knack for getting into trouble. She has horrible luck and it's only going to get worse. The story was well told from a first person point of view and moved the action on at a steady pace. Addison's mom, best friend and co-worker are the perfect addition to the story. They make the story more interesting and provide relief from Addison's horrible mishaps that seem to happen at an unnatural pace.

Nick, the cop working on the murder case that Addison first reported when she tripped over the body, was a likeable character and you enjoyed the scenes he was in. He is a good cop, very capable and determined; because of that, this is where the only problem I have with the story comes up. The police are on the case, and an accident prone, bad luck, unexperienced high school teacher feels she needs to embroil herself in the investigation. With multiple deaths, Addison feeling she should be involved in the case was somewhat irritating, especially when she keeps crucial evidence from the police.

Overall, the story is worth reading. It is well written, entertaining and a quick read. I enjoyed the character developement of each of the principles. There were several different people involved, but Liliana gives you enough character building for each one that you feel you get to know them.

What a great fun book to read. You won’t want to put it down. It has a little bit of everything in it; murder,
mystery, love, mothers and humor. Very light read but so enjoyable. Everyone can relate to a teacher who
has her fiancée leave her at the altar, her apartment building is condemned and starts a job as a stripper to
earn a little extra money, right? And since there’s a murder in the area, why not do a little detective work too.
And of course, while doing surveillance work there’s that great looking cop. Yep, this was a great book!
I look forward to reading more by Lilian Hart.

I loved this book! It was very good. Kind of like a southern redneck Stephanie Plum. I can wait to read the next 2 in this series. I bought them right away and I hope there is more to come. I also see other books by this author and if they are even half as good as this series it will definitely be worth a look! This book was very well written & very entertaining. Not many can keep my attention but this one did! So read this everyone! You have nothing to lose since this one is free for the nook! Enjoy, I certainly did!

    Love!

Great read! Perfect mix with laugh out loud funny, sexy and mystery. Similar to Stephanie Plum & Lexi Carmichael books. Couldn't put it down. Each ebook in the series is approx 200 pages. I've already purchased the other two in the series, and now I'm anxious for the 4th!

    Good Read

I really liked this book. Addison is such a real character, one that anyone could relate to. Can't wait to read more from this author and will be looking for more adventures about Addison and Nick. Highly recommend this lighthearted and fun mystery.

    Good Mystery

Don't let the slow start fool you. This is not another predictable book about a gal down on her luck who meets Prince Charming. A good 'who did it?' with twists and turns that keep you gueesing. Such a great variety of characters - and good job of relationship development. Setting is simple. Not a mystery/crime book with lot of depth to the plot (certainly not a Grisham or Baldacci) but a quick easy read with a good bit of sexual overtones. AH

Rated 4.6 for a fun, humorous, fast paced, creative srory.

Addison Homes' quirky personslity and humorous dialog make you laugh out loud. It's a fast paced, creative story with believable dialog, but situations and context not for young teens. I would definitely want more from this author.
