I adore Addison Holmes. She makes me laugh like no other heroine has in a while. I loved Whiskey Rebellion, but I think I enjoyed the second book even more. The secondary characters are well-drawn and likeable. Great chemistry between the two main characters. Adding a new potential love interest was a great twist and complication for poor Addison to stumble through. The mystery was such a minor subplot for me -- I just wanted to see what trouble Addison was going to get into next.

Liliana Hart spent five years teaching music in the public education system. She molded America’s youth, busted kids for smoking pot in the restrooms, and broke up illicit affairs behind the stage on a regular basis. (Liliana’s Addison Holmes Mystery Series, about a small town teacher who gets into a whole lot of trouble, is somewhat autobiographical, but she won’t confess to which parts).

Liliana began reading romance novels with all her new found free time, and when she ran out of things to read, she decided to write her own novels. The result was a 150,000 word thriller--a dazzling adventure--where the heroine was a thirty-year-old virgin assassin (Yes, you read that right). She couldn’t imagine why people weren’t knocking down her door to read it, but she persevered and began writing a second book. She finally got the hang of things, and eventually learned that losing one’s virginity wasn’t all that romantic after all. All of her books involve some kind of suspense (she just can't help herself), laughter, and a lot of steamy sex.

Since the failure of her first attempt, Liliana’s books have won awards such as: The Daphne Du Maurier, The Suzannah, The Linda Howard Award of Excellence, The Maggie, and many others. Her affiliations include Romance Writers of America and Mystery Writers of America. Liliana loves to cook, and is addicted to reading, Internet Boggle, kickboxing, and Bones. She lives in a big, rambling house in Texas with a couple of cats to keep her company. She loves to get emails from readers.

    Love love love this book !

    Really really love the Addison holmes series I found myself laughing entirely too much .... I am now a big fan of the series which is very similar to another series that I'm addicted to called the Lexi Graves mysteries by Camilla Chafer... I'm so looking forward to the next book.....

    Fantastic Series. I have fallen in love with these characters. The books are fun, sexy and hard to put down. I hope this goes on to be a 
    a long running series. Can't wait for the installment. If you like Stephanie Plum, you're going to LOVE Addison Holmes.

    I've enjoyed this second installment of Addison Holmes just as much as the first! This mystery was just as involving as Whiskey Rebellion, and the addition of a sexy FBI agent stirs things up even more. I have to say I think Addison and Nick are great together, and I'm hoping for the best for them! I can't wait for the next book!

    Addison is AWESOME!

    All I can say is WOW the Addison books were my first books from Liillian Hart and now I am hungry for more. Her endings might cause my heart attack tho, lol

    Just when I thought I couldn't enjoy a book more I read this one

    Just when I thought I couldn't enjoy a book more I read this one. Addison is my hero....I so love her. The banter between her and Nick and Agent Savage was great. Kept me guessing and reading straight through. Couldn't put it down. Humor, steamy romance all in one book :) Can't wait for Whiskey for Breakfast to come out. I want more Addison!! Liliana Hart outdid herself with this book. :)

    Funny & Entertaining

    Addison Holmes is the most entertaining character. She makes me laugh so hard my kids look at me funny. She has spunk, attitude, bad luck and a love of Dairy Queen. She has the hots for Detective Nick Dempsey & he thinks she is a walking disaster but wants her bad too. In this book, here comes temptation in the form of FBI Agent Matt Savage. Oh boy! *fans self* With all the testosterone floating in the air between Nick & Savage, it would be hard for a girl to get her work done (sigh). Liliana Hart has a winner with this second book in the Addison Holmes Mystery saga. I seriously cannot wait for the next book! Excellent read!
