Tempest Braden adores her family and her small hometown, but sometimes too much of a good thing can be confining. At almost thirty, having watched most of her siblings find true love, she’s anxious to experience her own happily ever after, and the move to Pleasant Hill, Maryland, is just the change she needs. When she rents a room from ruggedly handsome, and closed-off, artist Nash Morgan and his adorable son, Phillip, she thinks she’s found a little slice of heaven on the outskirts of town, where she can concentrate on building her business. That is, if she can ignore the undeniable heat between her and the sinfully hot single father.

When Nash bought his farmette, he had one goal in mind—to provide a loving, stable home for his son. He never imagined he’d be raising Phillip alone, or renting out a room to keep their heads above water. Then again, he never imagined losing his brother, or spending two years sailing around the world with parents who seemed to forget one son was still alive.

Sparks fly from the moment Tempest moves in, and her positive energy and inquisitive nature brings new life into Nash and Phillip’s quiet, confined world. For the first time in years, Nash wants to let a woman into his world, but while his loss made him stronger, that strength came at a price, leaving him walled off and wary of opening his heart again.

“Jilly said you’re looking for a place to rent,” Emmaline said as she handed her a to-go cup.

Tempest didn’t have to taste it to know it was her favorite, a caramel French vanilla latte. “Hopefully an affordable, quietplace.”

“If you want affordable,” Emmaline said, “avoid anything near the center of town. Did you get tired of Jilly’s crazy hours? I swear that girl hasn’t slept a wink since sixth grade.”

Tempest laughed. “She’s a bundle of energy. Unfortunately, I need quiet, so…” She pointed to the ad she was interested in. “This one looks like it might be perfect.”

Emmaline made atsksound. “I know most of the people who put up these ads, but I don’t know much about the guy who put up that one. He’s real quiet. Has the cutest little boy, but…I don’t know.”

“Do you think he’s a bad guy?”

“No, not necessarily.” She leaned closer and said, “He’s anartist,” as if that explained her concerns. “He lives on the outskirts of town, keeps to himself. That’s about all I know. He’s just…I don’t know. Maybe I’m being overly critical. He’s mysterious.Yes, that’s the right word for him.”

Tempest breathed easier. “A reclusive, mysterious artist with a cute kid? He just might be the perfect housemate.” After chatting for a few more minutes and promising to pass along a hug to Jillian, Tempest headed out to her car and called the number from the ad.

“Hello?” A deep voice came gruffly through the phone.

“Hi.” Caught off guard by his harsh tone, she forced herself not to be judgmental. “I’m calling about the room for rent.”

“It’s a single room. Four fifty a month. You’re not a college kid, are you?”

“No. You’re not a serial killer, are you?”

He was quiet for a moment, and she held her breath. No joking with Mr. Serious.

“Not today I’m not.”

His voice was so powerful, so serious, she thought about Jillian’s offer to accompany her.The guy put up a flyer in a public place, and according to Emmaline, he has a son. Surely he isn’t collecting bodies on the outskirts of town. She thought of her cousin Nick, one of Jillian’s older brothers, who could be just as gruff as this guy sounded, but he wouldn’t hurt a fly. Unless they hurt his family. Then all bets were off.

“You want to see the room?” he asked.

“Sure.” Her heart hammered against her chest. They agreed to meet after she was done at the hospital, exchanged names, and she wrote down the address. “Great. I’ll see you this evening.” After the call she immediately pulled up the Internet and searchedartist Nash Morgan.

The few articles she found were dated more than four years ago, focusing on his artwork being sold in galleries along the East Coast. The accompanying pictures of his intricate wood and metal sculptures took her breath away. She searched back in time, seeking a picture of the gruff man behind the talent, but the only photograph was dated more than ten years ago. He was sitting on the hood of a truck wearing a pair of faded jeans and a gray T-shirt. Several leather bracelets circled one wrist, and a silver ring shone on his right ring finger. Dirty-blond hair stuck out from beneath a red Washington Nationals baseball cap. He had a small, beautiful mouth that curved up at the edges and a hint of afive o’clockshadow. His smallish dark eyes were fringed with lashes so thick they looked fake.

Handsome and artsy, an irresistible combination.

Every time I pick up a book by Melissa Foster I am surprised. She has this ability to make every book different - yes it's the usual boy meets girl or girl meets boy (you know what I mean) but there is always a twist to make it different from any of her previous books, how she does it I do not know but she does it well and long may it continue. Tempest Braden hasn't found her love yet and after watching her siblings fall in love, marry have kids etc she is longing for the same, though the right man has never come along. She moves to peaceful Harbour for a change of scenery and start her own music therapy business, and before long she feels the need to move out of her cousin's house for a more peaceful setting. She's sees an ad for a room to let specifically looking for someone quite - right up her Street. When she goes to view it she gets more than she bargained for in the form of Nash and his adorable little 3 year son Phillip. Nash is a single father with a tragic past it has made him cautious as to who he introduces into Phillips life as well a his own for that matter. He keeps his cards close to his chest but he can't deny how attracted he feels almost instantly to Tempest the moment he saw her step out of her truck. For all this is Tempest and Nash's story it is very much involving Phillip as well as he plays such big part in Nash's life - obviously - Tempest is the right person to show Nash that for all he is doing an amazing job at raising him Phillip needs to be interacting with kids his age and also be enrolled into a nursery class so he isn't with his father constantly. This didn't go down to well initially with Nash and I can see why given is need to protect him but it also showed how blinded he was to his sons needs. This was yet another great read as per usual from Melissa and little Phillip really stole the show at the end, which again had me in tears - of joy I may add! ** i received and ARC of this book and I have chosen to give my honest and unbiased review of this book **

Melissa Foster has yet done written another fantastic story. I believe this is my 4th story that I have read by Foster and boy let me tell you that she does not disappoint you. She does a wonderful job with this story. A sweet romance read that have me from the start and couldn't stop reading till the end. The characters Tempest, Nash, and Phillip were great characters. I loved them all. It was easy to fall in love with them. A very well beautiful written story that everyone should definitely pick up and read. You won't be dissaponted. I received a ARC of this book to give a honest review.

Honestly, Whisper of Love is my favorite story involving the Braden family so far. The interactions between the characters and the way the settings are described made me love this story. Tempest has always been a character I adored, even as a secondary character in the previous stories. She is such a sweet, patient, and caring person. I wanted the best for her. The Bradens are such a close-knit family and I enjoy reading about Tempest's siblings and cousins in this story. Nash Morgan is a great character. I liked how standoffish he could see, yet he was willing to open up and communicate better for Tempest. He sounds like such an adorable single father who loves his son Phillip. Phillip is probably one of the main reasons why I love this story so much. He is such a sweet boy who tries to follow in Nash's footsteps. It was very entertaining to see him grow throughout the story. His character made me wish the story had no ending and would keep going. I received this book through Beck Valley Books Book Tours, I have volunteered to share my review and all the opinions are 100% my own.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. This is actually my 2nd book in the series, I previously read the story about Steve and Shannon but that book did not have many Braden's and this book did, so I really felt like I got to know this side of the family much better than in Shannon's book. It also seemed to stand alone as well, seeing as I was not lost at all. This book stars Tempest or Tempe who is new in town. She has left Peaceful Harbor because she wanted to start over again. She wants to meet a new man, make new friends and restart her music business where she helps children with her music therapy business. At the start of the book Tempe has been staying with her cousin Jillian but Jillian is a night owl and Tempe needs her sleep so she is looking to rent a room and she goes to a coffee house to look at their bulletin board to see if anyone has one available. There she sees a posting by Nash, a single father and furniture builder. This story is told in dual POV and I loved that. We see how both are affected by the other from the minute they meet. Phillip is Nash's 3 year old son and Tempe starts living with them and really changing both their lives. In this story Tempe is the sunny, warm and sweet character. Nash's life has been filled with tradegy and loss. Considering how life has knocked him around I was really happy that he was so open and sweet and welcoming to a romance and relationship with Tempe. I totally loved the ending. It was the best ending I think Melissa Foster has ever written. It was sweet, cute and just total adorable. If you looking for a sweet, family romance then this was really wonderful. There are no exes or jealousy.just a story of two good people falling in love.

Melissa Foster knows how to break through the tough exterior of characters and leave you swooning for more. Nash and Phillip are easily one of my favorite father and son duos. Phillip may be the key to Nash and Tempest's love story and I think that made their relationship that much stronger. I love the sweetness throughout this newest romance from Melissa Foster. The family stories that surround the main characters have always called to me and make me want to read more. I've read every boon in this series and find that the characters just keep getting stronger and the stories that much more engaging. The fact that Nash is a loner makes their story sweeter and I fell in love with this couple from the very beginning. Whisper of Love by Melissa Foster is another in a long string of her wonderful stories that mesh romance and friendship with family. Another must read from a great author.

Welcome back to Peaceful Harbor! In this fifth installment to the series, Tempest Braden rents a room from a closed-off artist named Nash Morgan. She hopes to be able to concentrate on her blooming business. However, Nash and his adorable son, Phillip, become a presence she can’t ignore. I feel like I always say this with Melissa Foster’s books but I just love how this woman writes small-town romances. It has just the right amount of coziness that readers feel right at home when they pick up a book but also, no two books are similar. You’ll find in a lot of small-town stories, most of the characters are similar but even from book to book within a series, Foster comes up with heroes and heroines who are not only unique but are very interesting as well. Since I liked both Tempest and Nash individually, I liked them even more as a couple. One of the things that stands out with this book is the presence of Phillip. I liked that Foster incorporated his presence throughout so that this book really feels like a family story. You’ll encounter a lot of walk-on moments of characters from other books/series so that’s nice if you read all of Foster’s books like I do. However, if you don’t, that can be problematic since they do have a good amount of page time. I would just keep that in mind if you decide to try these books out without having read the others in the series. The Peaceful Harbor series is one of my favorites amongst Melissa Foster’s series. I’m really looking forward to seeing what comes next!

Peaceful Harbor Bradens are some of my favorite so I, of course, grabbed this book and read it with little stopping. I have found Tempest to be one of the most interesting of the Bradens. I have not read all of the Love in Bloom series but she has always stuck out to me. Maybe it's her business. Maybe it's because she is a female - I love female characters, especially strong ones. Maybe I just like Tempest. This book is set some place new. Tempest actually leaves Peaceful Harbor to get her business going in another town. She is living with her cousin, who has no schedule and loves to be up late. Tempe cannot keep up with the life being lead in that house so goes looking for a place of her own to live. In doing so, she finds Nash and his extremely intelligent son Phillip. For allowing someone new and totally unknown into their lives, Nash and Phillip almost immediately trust Tempe and sparks fly. I'm not totally sure that she gets much more good rest once she moves because she is always thinking about her landlord. I really loved this story and strongly suggest you pick up a copy and give it a read. I received this book through Beck Valley Books Book Tours, I have volunteered to share my review and all the opinions are 100% my own.

At first Nash made me a bit upset at how he sheltered his son. However then again as a mom myself I admired him for stepping up and raising his son. Then came Tempest, who is a musical therapist. Tempest needed a place to live and rented a room in Nash's home. It did not take long for Nash and Tempest to fall hard for each other. The love Tempest had for Phillip was beautiful. I loved how Nash was so open to Tempest suggestions about having Phillip socialize with other children. As always another book by Melissa Foster that I could not put down. She writes amazing stories that make you escape reality.

Whisper of Love by Melissa Foster is the 5th book in The Bradens of Peaceful Harbor, MD series. This is a spinoff and actually book #17 of the Bradens, and book #36 of Love in Bloom series. Melissa is a prolific author who writes so many books, it is hard to keep up with her; especially when I do read a lot of books. I did fall a little behind on the Bradens, and I will have to find time to catch up. Whisper of Love was a fantastic sweet romance that had us emotionally invested in the characters from the start. Tempest Braden moves to Pleasant Hill, Md to start her own business, and decides to find a place to live, since her cousin is a night owl , keeping her up all night. She meets her new landlord, Nash Morgan, and his adorable precious 3 year old son, Philip. We never had a chance to decide if we liked Nash and Philip, as we fell just as hard as Tempest. What a romance that Melissa Foster has given us. So wonderful, with so many emotional and heartwarming moments that had us either laughing or happy tears. So very well done. Nash has taken care of Philip since his than girlfriend left after giving birth to Philip. Nash loves his son so much, that he has sheltered him and even cut himself off from the outer world. Once Tempest moves in, she will change both of their lives forever. She will teach Nash how to allow Philip to make friends, go to school and learn to be more outgoing and free. Tempest will also help Nash trust to let go of his son enough to allow him to be surround by wonderful people and to open his heart and live again. Then he gets to meet the Braden family (very large family), which gives him a chance to see what a family is like. It was wonderful to watch how quickly Tempest and Nash fall in love, and how she helps him let go of the past and allow him to believe in their future. I loved every moment of this story. I will say that I rarely find myself in tears, but Melissa, you pulled me totally in and the tears did fall during that show. Wow If you enjoy pure romances, then you can never go wrong with Melissa Foster. Whisper of Love was one of the best romances I have read this year, and I have enjoyed quite a few.

An adorable little boy, a sexy, rugged single dad and a sweet and loving young woman...combined with Melissa Foster's beautiful words and storytelling and you've got a five star read that made me smile, sigh and cry all the way through it! Nash and Tempe are two souls whose spirits are drawn to one another through a series of signs. He centers her while she expands Nash and little Phillip's world to include not only her but many wonderful new experiences. I have a special place in my heart for music therapy, so I was beyond thrilled to get to know Tempest in regards to her job. It's not a career for the faint of heart, but for a kind, loving and giving individual, which Foster captured perfectly. And I could visualize every silent conversation between father and son; every hand holding, kiss given...thanks to her brilliant writing. My very favorite Braden book!

Whisper of Love is one of my favorites... I say that for every Melissa Foster book, but this one rates right up there with True Blue...I love the chemistry between Nash and Tempest, and the Love shown to Flip (Phillip). It's a heartwarming story of a music therapist and a single Dad/Artist/Farmer. Nash and Tempest complement each other in the best ways. The story really draws you in and the only disappointment was when I finished it and no longer have it to read. I loved this book!!

I absolutely love books by Melissa Foster. They're light yet full, fun, safe, sweet, romantic, sexy, relevant, and brilliantly constructed. WHISPER OF LOVE was no exception! I found, once again, that the characters were easy to love. Tempest was a music therapist with a heart of gold. Her beauty went far beyond skin deep. She was ambitious, family-oriented, extremely loving, and as pure a soul as one can find in any book. Nash was a bit of a tortured hero, in that he had suffered loss and hadn't quite come to grips with all that life had handed him. He was also a single father to a delightful three year old boy whose mother had abandoned them. Even if I wasn't already swayed and huge fan of his, the interactions with his son would have owned my heart. The development of a relationship between Nash and Tempest was both hot and sweet. This story made my point for me and gave further proof as to why Melissa Foster is a one-click author for me. I'm guaranteed a great time with passionate relationships, strong heroines, and swoon-worthy heroes! Release Date: February 22, 2017 Genre: Contemporary Romance POV: Dual - 3rd person Steam: 3.5 out of 5 Book Type: Standalone, Book 5 of The Bradens at Peaceful Harbor, MD series

Love isn't the only thing blooming in this latest installment of the series, as Tempest and Nash bring a sweet and spicy dish to the reader's table. Follow along as they both grow into their own and explore each other in a way that'll have you fanning the blush from your cheeks. Whisper of Love proves it really is the quiet ones you need to watch out for! Received for review

How do you NOT fall in love with this couple!?!? Tempest Braden has a heart just like all the other Braden's...a heart of Gold. And Nash was soon to realize this fact. She started by renting a room from him, but in turn, invaded his life and turned it upside down. Nash lived for his son after quite a few years running from his feelings and the life he had and his parents tried to set for him after their lives changed drastically. His son, Phillip, was the only and most important person in his life now and no one was going to mess with that. Then enter Tempest. She tested him , even if only to help him realize the things he wasn't giving to his son. In the process, she was giving her heart over to these 2 new men in her life, not realizing how they were helping her as well. She knew she wanted some stability and focus in her life but little did she know, when she answered the add to rent a room, was she giving herself the answers she was so desperately looking for.

Melissa Foster did it again! She is aces at weaving a story of heartache and love. Nash is a single father of a 3 year old little boy named Phillip. Tempest is new to town and looking for a room to rent. When she moves in with Nash and Phillip it doesn't take long for their hearts to reach out for each other. Tempest helps Nash heal from the loss of his brother so many years ago and to let him know he can be an amazing dad and still give his little boy the independence he needs to grow up and socialize with other people. Nash helps Tempest realize what she wants from her life and goes about making it happen for her. Whisper of Love is a sweet, sexy read and one of the best yet by Melissa Foster.

What can I say about this story? Melissa Foster keeps writing more touching storylines about real life situations that we can all relate to in one way or another. The story about the beautiful Tempest (Tempe), sexy Nash and adorable Phillip was full of anguish, love, lust, desire, and full on fun. Tempe is the sweetest woman, with a kind and giving soul. Nash is a sexy, strong, somewhat repressed single dad to Phillip. After Phillips mom walked out on them, he chose to seclude himself and raise Phillip all on his own. All it takes is for Tempe to enter their world to spin his perfectly secluded life on its axis. Tempe brings out the best in Nash and teaches Phillip new things and how to be independent. The story combines a lust between Nash and Tempe that was palpable, with her kind heart to bring them together, and find their way to where they are meant to be. The ending, which I will leave a surprise, was the cutest thing ever and so very touching. Giving us a few surprises along the way, Melissa Foster brings the rest of the Braden family into the story and makes you fall in love with them all over again.

Tempest Braden had moved to Pleasant Hill to make a fresh start. She had become too stressed out and overworked with providing her music therapy to hospital patients and wanted to take her business in a different direction by starting a children’s music group. First on her agenda though, is to find a place to rent. When she does, it’s a room on a farmette in the country. Perfect, but with one drawback. Her six-foot-plus hunky landlord is too much of a distraction. Or is he? Melissa Foster has done it again. I don’t know how she can create so many opposite characters that you would never expect to be together, but they are. Tempest and Nash’s relationship just plain out worked. I love this branch of the Braden’s and have watched each one find their true love, except for Ty. I can’t wait for his.

Tempest, Nash and Phillip are so, so good in this book. I'm forever in love with all of them. Once again Melissa Foster has made her characters so real and relatable that you can't help but fall for them. The kisses alone will have you hot and bothered. How could you not love a guy that loves his son so much that he put his love of sculpting on hold to spend as much time together as they possibly could? Nash and Phillip are so content to be by themselves and in comes Tempest into their lives trying to make a change in her life yet usually so cautious. You've got to read this story! I guarantee you will love it. Nash, Phillip and Tempest just grabbed my heart and held on for dear life and I'm ok with that. They will live on forever in there.

"Whisper of Love" by Melissa Foster. I really am at a loss for words. Ms. Foster has taken hold of my heart and won't let go. I don't know if I could love two characters (well, actually three) more than I do Nash and Tempest. And of course, Phillip is beyond adorable too. Nash is such an amazing person -a super dad, an extremely hard worker and best of all, a super sexy lover. Tempest is sweet and lovable, the yang to Nash's ying. The relationship between these two was true and real. It moved at a beautiful pace and any issues that arose, they dealt with together. I loved that. So often in stories, secrets are kept or the couples won't lean on the other for strength, but not these two. It was freeing to read a beautiful love story of two people that fall in love and believe and trust in that love to overcome obstacles or hardships that come with life. Ms. Foster literally had me in tears, but not from sadness but an overwhelming feeling of warmth, love and happiness. This is, by far, my favorite story by this wonderful author, and that is saying a lot as I have enjoyed many of her works in the past. If you have not had the opportunity to partake in a tale by Melissa Foster, than I highly recommend "Whisper of Love". Note: while this is part of a series, it can be read as a standalone. I love all of the Braden stories, but there’s just something about this one that just stole my heart! The relationship between this father and son is just plain sweet and adorable … and add Tempe into the mix and they make such a great family! Tempest Braden has left her nest of loving and over-protective family members to venture out on her own in Pleasant Hill. She’s watched her siblings start settling down and finding their happily-ever-afters and she’s decided she wants to go after her dream of where she wants her career to go. She is slowly building her clientele and hoping renting a quiet room from Nash Morgan will help her have some peace to rest and be creative! Single father Nash Morgan and his adorable son Phillip are such a temptation to her! Who knew sparks were going to fly between them as soon as she stepped foot in the place? Nash has put a lot of his life on hold to be the best father that he can be for his son … and he also harbors a lot of pain from his past and a part of himself that is closed off that he’s afraid to ever let in. Will having Tempe around help heal him? And when he finds out things weren’t exactly as they seemed all those years ago, will he be able to move past the self doubt he has been living with to find that happy ending?

I love Whisper Of Love! Such a cute book. Nash and Tempe steam up the pages but their love and caring for raising Phillip really shines through the most!

I love all Melissa Foster's book, but this one is special. I don't know why but this Peaceful Harbor series gets to my heart, each book tells a special story about healing that is so compelling. When I first read this book I was at the lowest point of my life and needed some healing too. Tempest, Nash and Phillip aided and helped to mend my soul. Tempest is a music therapist that is changing cities and needs a room for some time until she gets on her feet. She meet Nash who is an artist and carpenter, father of the adorable 3-year-old Phillip, and needs to rent a room to help raising the family income. An empty room is what started their story but it is soon filled with their love and caring for each other. Tempest is what Nash needs to be a better father and man, she is what was needed in this little family and discover a new family for her own. Beautiful story and characters.
