Overview

A deafening computer surge, a burst of lasers, and he appeared. Was he a hologram, a bizarre energy filed endowed with manly mass? Or was he, as Jamie Kent dreaded, the ghost of Hazard MacAllister, legendary Scots Bluebeard, incarnate?

For flesh he was--over six towering feet of alarmingly sensual muscle and sinew. His blazing eyes devoured Jamie as if she were the innocent lass he'd murdered a century ago.

At first, Jamie backs away in fear. But she soon learns that the bad things in her life, including her dependence upon pills and her dissatisfying career, can only be changed by facing and conquering old ghosts. But can little Jamie Kent match wits and wills with the likes of this fiery Scot?

Meet the Author

Patricia Simpson is described by reviewers as “a premier writer of supernatural romance.” Author of numerous paranormal novels, she is inspired by science, paranormal phenomena, and archeological discoveries, and consistently garners superior ratings and awards for unusual heroes and unpredictable plots. Simpson has been called “a master at keeping suspense going on a multitude of levels,” and a “masterful storyteller.” From Egyptian lords that shape-shift into black panthers to Scottish time-travelers who step out of computers, Simpson entertains readers while pushing the envelope in paranormal suspense. Her new trilogy, THE FORBIDDEN TAROT, goes further than anything she’s written before. This series explores a new world history and impending planetary disaster. Already some reviewers have called the first book in this series, THE DARK LORD, a “true gift to her readers,” and a “lulu of a story.” Patricia’s favorite writing arenas are the Pacific Coast, the deep South, 18th century in America and Great Britain, ancient Egypt, Pacific Northwest Native Americans, and anything that goes bump in the night. She has a BA in Art from the University of Washington, two daughters, and a retreagle named Berkeley.

I loved this story! It has my favorite kind of hero, brawny and Scottish but not you're usual highlander since he's a ghost. At over 500 page it's well worth the money. Look forward to reading more from this author.
