This is the first time I have read a book by the author (Denise Jeffries)and I have to say that I really enjoyed the book. In this book you will find laugher, sadness and love. It has romance & suspense. Sergeant Dominique Rue is still upset over the death of her partner. Dominique is at the point where she need wants to give up everything but her captain talks her out of it so in th mean time Dominique head up to a secluded place where she wants to be left alone. In come Jericho who every summer goes to his family home for some R&R. While there he is surprise to find out that he actually have a neighbor and being Jericho who is NOSY neighbor goes over to try and be friendly. We all have things in our past and with Dominique she is trying to cope with the loss of her partner who she was in love with but never gotten the chance to tell him. Jericho is dealing with something that has happen in his past when he was a teenager. The suspense will keep you turning the pages and you will see the love that build between Dominique & Jericho. I tell you ladies Dominique give him a run for his money, but you know what Jericho is just the man to catch. He doesn't back down. I will be purchasing more book by Denise Jeffries since I know I am going to enjoy reading this book. Louise
