Old Louisiana and mansions - they go together like latte and beignets on the banks of the Mississippi. For Louis Beekman, his inheritance is a challenge and a delight, since Love Alley is a prime example of early architecture and he plans to restore it to its former glory. He didn't count on it already being occupied - by things he sooo doesn't believe in. No, sir.

Overview

Old Louisiana and mansions - they go together like latte and beignets on the banks of the Mississippi. For Louis Beekman, his inheritance is a challenge and a delight, since Love Alley is a prime example of early architecture and he plans to restore it to its former glory. He didn't count on it already being occupied - by things he sooo doesn't believe in. No, sir. Not him.

Cory Lavalle has the "sight" and when Louis calls, she goes to Love Alley to help him understand the forces at work in his new home. Together they find adventure and mystery along with an explosive mutual attraction. Hand in hand, they step back into the past and learn secrets long hidden, enticed by the heat of Old Louisiana, where lovers were parted and the future is only a kiss away.

Is their newfound love strong enough to send lost spirits to their final rest? Will those playful specters stop moving Louis's toolbox around? What's with those twins? And above all, can desire finally silence the Whispers in the Dark...?

Meet the Author

Sahara Kelly and S.L. Carpenter "met" online in 2002 and have been writing together ever since. Known as the Partners in Passion to their fans (after their first popular series of novels), they've continued to explore the world of erotic romance, mixing laughter liberally into the heat and entertaining readers with their stories of steamy goings-on in a variety of settings. They've had chance to get together and sign their books for readers occasionally, but their writing continues even though they're separated by a continent and three rather annoying time zones. People wonder how it works - in fact, so do Scott and Sahara. But they've learned not to question it, just do it. Odd hours, cell phones and the occasional online videoconference makes life easier and these two writers are committed to bringing smiles and a lot of sensual heat to their stories.

This book is one of their favorites, combining fascinating characters with an intricately crafted plot and set in one of the most atmospheric places on earth - Louisiana. They hope you enjoy visiting Love Alley with them. You can find out more about these two co-writers at their own little cyber nook - www.partnersinpassion.net

Reviewed by Ivelisse Book provided by the publisher for review Review originally posted at Romancing the Book When Louis inherits an estate in New Orleans he had no clue there were already inhabitants living there…only these kind of guest you can’t see. He knows the house is full of spirits which can’t rest and he is determine to find the reason which leads him to Cory. Cory is a psychic with a strong connection to the house. The house used to be a brothel and the lady of the house, Claudine, is her ancestor. Will Cory be able to uncover the secrets hidden within the house? When you read a story from Sahara Kelly and S.L. Carpenter you will definitely laugh. This story if full of intrigue, surprises and humor. They paint a beautiful picture of the scenery and since I have actually been to NOLA I felt the magic they wrote about. I couldn’t put the book down because I had to find out what happens next. I even fell in love with the secondary characters, Honey and Maurice…those two were naughty lol ;). Sahara Kelly and S.L. Carpenter have become an auto-buy for me, not just with their collaborations but their individual work as well. I can’t wait to read more from this pair. They are just as funny in person as they are in the books.
