Whispers of Thought: Volume 1
Fun fact! The author was born in 2010. Do keep that in mind when reading the first few poems.
A lover of science and mathematics, she published Volume 1 on Pi Day (March 14th, 2025), 6 days after her 15th birthday, which lies on International Women's Day.

This first volume of Whispers of Thought contains very few, if any, works approaching masterpieces. This book serves the purpose to reveal a young girl's personal poetic journey, and thus includes both her perceived best and worst poems. She is inconsistent in her format, and often refers to you, the reader, in third person. She believes the dynamic nuances in her writing actually make the name of this poem series appropriate; life is imperfect, and it is important to make peace with weaknesses to make room for growth. She knows that her descriptions for her poems may be overwhelmingly verbose or sophisticated for the actual pieces, but she fancies implementing the idea of being able to provide insight into the deep thoughts behind her simpler words. She wrote the descriptions directly after writing each poem, so you can also see her situation and outlook on life change. As you flip through the pages, which are ordered by date and not by level of talent, you will notice an overall trend of improving work. Poems with stars are the author's favorite pieces, and you are free to disagree.

The intentions and origin of Whispers of Thought is very unique. The author made a New Year's resolution with herself at the start of 2024 to try to write a poem every day for one year, which terribly failed. However, she did produce a number of meaningful pieces, which she has compiled in this Volume 1 along with a description of each. Whispers of Thought has many volumes to come, and the several purposes that they will serve through their special style and composition are listed below:
- To one day reveal all aspects of life, including but certainly not limited to: human nature, the environment, societal structures, aerospace, submarine life, transportation, nihilism, the different kinds of love and death and pain and joy and the thousands of shades of gray that we foolishly try to split into two of black and white
- To help English learners get better at interpreting poetry
- To give readers a chance to see what the author intended versus their own perception
- To act as a personal journal/diary of poetry for the author
- To showcase her improvement over time
- To inspire a future generation of poets
- To fuel innovation and bridge various domains of life, from history to math to athletics, through the art of poetry

And to follow through with her personal pact to try to change the world, one word at a time.

I sincerely encourage and humbly request you to let these poems, even those with noticeable immaturity, shift you into your consciousness and deeply inspire you to improve the world around you. They have diverse, seemingly random themes... so they truly are the whispers of thought.
Interpret all poems as you wish. I do not wish to take away from your own feelings and reading experience. However, if you are ever curious about what I personally meant when I wrote these poems, do read the descriptions.
