Having read four of the books in this series I personally think this is the best.Firstly the protagonist is a very dark and interesting character who capitlises on the heroes weakness in a very unique way.Secondly the heroes journey of self discovery gives one a better understanding of his shadowy world. Finally for me personally the heroes old Japanese friend and mentor gives the novel some extra spice with his insights into the other characters. The book unfolds like a drama albeit an exotic one at that and the action comes in at the right pace and in satisfactory doses. This is a different kind of action novel with a range of whole new ideas and concepts which though fairly confusing doesn't dissapoint.I'd recommend this one for action lovers looking for something new.

((Next part of the poem: Though water try as hard as it might, it could not break the endless fight deep within lightnings core. Ice broke under the wieght of earth and its kindness was no more.))
Kakashis face went pale. The training part of the monastary was.....beautiful! It had everything you would need, balancing poles and dummies! This place had it all, but the thing Kakashi was most shocked about was the only girl. She loked about his age and was super good. There was one other boy, but he was short and igsinificant to him right now. Kakashis focus was on the girl. A sharp whistle ripped through the area. The two ninjas in training lined up in a split second. Kakashi heard the doors open as a man in his mid fifties steped out. He wore a really cool sensei robe which was oddly gold. He had few wrinkles, but his smile gave him away. "The...the golden ninja!" Kakashi gaped
Lloyd stepped behind the girl. "Zane, is this nya and jays offspring?" He said as Zane closed the door behind himself. He nodded as a fit((and when i say fit i mean reallllly fit.)) man walked out the same door Lloyd had walked out of. He had black, wavy hair with his shaggy bangs almost covering his face. He looked good....for a man in his early sixties. "Hello." Lloyd said to Kakashi as Cole stepped behind the sq.ua.t boy. "This is Cole and Rock." He motioned to te elder ninja and his apprentice. "And i am Lloyd and this is Layla." Lloyd gestured toward himself and layla. Kakashi took a moment to gather himself until he spoke. "I am kakashi, son of jay and nya." He said.
After the reunion party layla came up to kakashi. "Hi." He said shyly. Lalya kept her stern look. "If you want to survie here, you better watch your back otherwise you wont be here as long as i suspected." She huffed and walked cooly away as kakashi stood there awkwardly. He had a feeling things were not going to go well...

(Evan) I heard the crashes first, from the alleyways of the city. And then I get the text from the National Ninjago Alerts, the one that says of two students alone in an alley. Of a stone warrior coming back and attacking them. I look at the attendance sheets and realize. Trystan and Fin were gone. - I got the call from Evan just as I was biting into my midnight snack. "Sensei Darius, this is urgent! Two of our students escaped and got attacked! I am going to go find them, get them to safety!" I shake my head before remembering he can't see me. "We have other students, Evan. We can't risk their lives, too." He protests. "But Trystan and Fin could be in critical condition!" I groan. "Fine. I'll fly back." - (I hope this is okay... -Kai517)
