    must read

This book is fantastic. When I started reading this book I could not put it down until I finished it. I have never read a book that compares two slavery institutions in detail as I have read this book. It is truly a masterpiece with all the sense of the word. I wish and hope that one day people from different backgrounds will read this book. It's rich, informative, complex, and has what I call an 'unstoppable action' throughout the book. I am not personally white 'European origin' or black 'African Origin', but Middle Eastern and I still enjoy this book immensly. I think the information in the book is absolutely invaluable. The book however is specifically written for students, educators, historians, activists, and political and cultural scientists who care deeply enough and have a lot to do with history of slavery as an institution and its impact on human societies especially America and South Africa.
