Overview

SERIES INTRODUCTION:
Can sex be the gateway to an ancient mystical realm unheard of in the West? According to Chinese Tantrics, the answer is YES.

In Jade Lee's award-winning Tigress series, western women discover that sex is not simply for pleasure, but for religious ecstasy. Who will come out on top? The Western Tigress or the Chinese Dragon? And is the new erotic realm they discover LOVE?

WHITE TIGRESS – The Way of the Tigress, Book 1
Englishwoman Lydia Smith is drugged and sold as a Tantric slave, to a dark-eyed dragon of a man.

Lydia's captor does not demand her virginity but her Yin—the essence of her ecstasy.

What harm could come from allowing him to pleasure her, to teach her, to explore the path of the White Tigress, until she can flee?

Meet the Author

Jade Lee, a USA Today bestseller, has two passions (well, except for her family, but that’s a given). She loves dreaming up stories and playing racquetball, not always in that order. When her pro-racquetball career ended with a pair of very bad knees, she turned her attention to writing. An author of more than 30 romance novels, she’s decided that life can be full of joy without ever getting up from her chair.

    Not Worth It

This book was horrible. It takes a long time to even get into the book. You need to read a book about Taoism just to understand part of it. It also had a really bad ending.

Exotic, erotic and spiritual historical romance

In 1898 Lydia Smith leaves England to make a surprise visit to her fiancé, who she has missed. However, she never makes her destination as she is kidnapped, drugged, and sold into sexual slavery to a Chinese brothel.......................... Ru ¿The Dragon¿ Shan is going to teach Lydia all he knows about sexuality, but the WHITE TIGRESS Buddhist will never release his seed physically as he wants to capture her yin to spiritually supplement his yang. However he finds himself attracted to the slave who displays intelligence that he has never seen in a woman before especially as she insists he is her teacher not her master. As they fall in love, Ru struggles to keep from physically ejactulating but Lydia makes it the most difficult task of his enlightened life as she insists their yin and yang belong together in loving harmony.......................... This exotic, erotic and spiritual historical romance is unique as Jada Lee introduces her audience to the sexual side of Zen Buddhism by interweaving eastern beliefs into the robust story line. The lead couple is an enjoyable powerful pairing and comparing of two strong souls, but it is Ru whose inimitability not seen in romance tales that makes the novel different, educational, and engaging. WHITE TIGRESS is a fine distinctive tale of East loves West.................... Harriet Klausner

    The way

Squirrelflight laid in the clearing, her fur was a matted mess, blo<_>od oozing out of her many wounds and it mixed with the other cats' bl<_>ood. Her bright green eyes became dull and the cats of Stormclan crowd around her, giving her one last licks and whispered farewells. When the last cat backed away, the sunset red fur was groomed for the last last time. Rosestar lept onto the high legde and called out, her tears and anguish in her voice. "Squirrelflight was a remarkable cat, whose courage will never be forgotten. She was the first to join my clan, and the first to di<_>e fighting. She was my friend, the first in this clan." Her speech ended and all were weeping. The tiniest kits sensed the sadness but couldn't understand. Rosestar laid beside Squirrelflight and she cried. The next day, a buriel was held. The closest to Squirrelflight and an elder watched as a spirit buried her. The clan mourned for a day, then they continued life. All but Squirrelflight. May she rest in peace.

    Hello

Very good well-written free book on unusual oriental philosophical subjects entwined with sex and romance. Will be difficult reading for someone of limited imagination who has difficulty grasping new (to them) concepts - such a person would also have difficulty with science fiction genre. The woman does seem to have difficulty grasping the danger of her situation, and must have been raised in a bell jar with no contact with the real world even though she claims her father was a doctor.

    White Tigress

It was a hard start cause I thought even with this being a historical romance, some of the ways that the heroine was being stupid, the wrong side of innocent. Still, this book taught me some new things I never thought to try. And the way they came together, in love... i dont know if I believe it could be that easy. Still very good tale of survival, honor, and love.

Excellent read into a culture older than ours.and you do not need in depth knowledge of Taoism to understand these books. Basically know it's not greed or love of things such as money, power, image that really soar you to the 'heavens' but unconditional, sacrificial love. Not a concept easily accepted in China as thousands of years of teaching stated women were not equal to men and were seen as possessions only. The third in series is absolutely the best.

    Very Entertaining

I love to read and slip away from reality. I wasn't really expecting much more than entertainment, but this book with it's portrayal of culture in Shanghai made it even more interesting. I kept picking my book back up to read more.

    Loved this book.

When I first started reading the book, didn't think I would be finishing it. But the story pulls the reader in and it's hard to put down. Will be continuing with the books. Give it a chance.

WOW!   Really different.  A romance with love on a my higher and deeper level than most romance novels.  I really loved its unique story.  It did make a person delve into yourself and want to be a better person.  I feel I was given a gift being able to read this for free.

    Hard to get into

Was interested in subject matter, which should have carried the story but it did not. Authors style a little to fuzzy for me, I like more clean and decisive language.

    Favorite Hot Historical/Unusual Setting

Favorite Hot Historical/Unusual Setting: WHITE TIGRESS (Leisure/Jan. ¿05) ¿ Jade Lee -- I'm cheating giving a Jan. '05 book a 2004 award but I read this book in '04 and thought it was the best historical for this category. Fabulous hot historical set in China with English heroine arriving unescorted to unite with her fiancee. Instead she is held captive in a brothel, purchased by a clothing merchant who wants to teach her his Taos sexual practices to gain his immortality. Absolutely fascinating and beginning of a trilogy set in China.
