Note in their own promotional material the sentence '...the authors show how the media have relentlessly promoted Hillary from the moment Time magazine introduced her to the country as an ¿amalgam of Betty Crocker, Mother Teresa, and Oliver Wendell Holmes.¿ ' This, they claim, proves that columnist Margaret Carlson is and was a cheerleader for Hillary Clinton for years! One small problem: What Carlson actually wrote in that Time item was this: 'Friends of Hillary Clinton would have you believe she is an amalgam of Betty Crocker, Mother Teresa and Oliver Wendell Holmes. She gets up before dawn, even on weekends, and before her first cup of coffee discusses educational reform. She then hops into her fuel-efficient car with her perfectly behaved daughter for a day of good works.' She is mocking Hillary supporters, not praising Hillary! And when challenged on this falsehood, what do Bozell and Graham have to say? Well, first, they say Carlson's use of this phrase proves how much she loves Hillary. Apparently using a glowing quote from others to mock those others proves you actually agree with them, per Bozell and Graham. So does this mean when the press told us that Bush supporters consider him '...an intelligent man...', and '...a deep thinker...', does this then prove the press actually think highly of George W. Bush? Apparently, per Bozell and Graham! They went on in their response to claim it doesn't matter if they lie about what Carlson really said, because they know what she really meant!
