Children's Literature - Traci Avalos
This bright, humorous board book will have toddlers laughing and reading along in no time. The book is all about various types of movements that are made by certain kinds of animals. Each section begins with a question asking what kinds of animals move in a specific way. This is followed by a short list of true answers, followed by one very false answer. The false animal is ridiculous, and little children will get a kick out of the silly situations these animals are placed in. The series then ends with several facts about what the false animal does do instead. The pictures are bright and funny, and children will enjoy chiming in with "No, no they don't!" when the wrong animal is mentioned. This would be a great read-aloud for young children. The book is bilingual and can be read separately in either English or Spanish, or together to promote the learning of both languages.
