The most common response to the main title of this book might very well be, "who cares", because the majority of consumers automatically associate referral marketing with multi-level marketing (MLM), which is also known as network marketing. After all, haven’t most of us either heard about or have personally had a bad experience with MLM? However, the true essence of Referral Marketing is not even remotely close to MLM.

That said, there are three groups of individuals who will be interested in, and benefit the most from the information contained in this e-book.

#1 - Those who believe that corporations are not people, and that their present level of political and economic power is having a negative effect on our society:

The reason that this group will benefit is that it provides a detailed history of how corporate interests politically eliminated (killed) a goods and services distribution system (Referral Marketing) that could have prevented large corporations from attaining their current levels of political and economic power. It also provides the knowledge of how to re-establish this system in order to help us recover what we have lost.

#2 - Those who have an interest in, or have a strong opinion (good or bad) about multi-level marketing (MLM), which is also known as network marketing, even though the true essence of Referral Marketing is not even remotely close to MLM:

The reason this group will benefit is that "Who Killed Referral Marketing" uncovers the political maneuvers that were taken to remove the original format of Referral Marketing from the public's view, via the creation and the promotion of MLM as our only alternative to retail, other than barter. In other words, the true history of the MLM industry and how it became what it is today.

The outcome of the political maneuvers that are mentioned above is that the retail marketing distribution system has become the predominant method of exchanging almost all of our goods and services (creativity/labor). MLM has become our only alternative to retail, and multi-national corporations have become the predominant political and economic force throughout the world.

Please ask yourself – could these institutions have become multi-national and attained the positions of political and economic power that they enjoy today within any other distribution systems, other than what is known as retail marketing or retail's alternative distribution system of choice, MLM?

#3 - Those who are struggling financially and/or are simply looking for a way to improve their current economic circumstances:

During the past 40 years or so, we have slowly lost more and more of our ability to directly control the fruits of our labor. That is, we have not only lost most of our ability to self-determine the price of our individual labor/creativity, we have all but lost the ability to directly exchange it with a willing consumer; and more and more of our remaining ability to earn income is being moved out of the United States by the large, multi-national corporations that can only exist within a goods and services distribution system such as retail marketing or retail's alternative of choice, MLM?

Therefore, the reason this last group will benefit from the information contained in this book is that it provides a blueprint for helping to regain the level of economic control of the fruits of our labor that existed in America before retail marketing became the primary method of exchanging our creativity, MLM became our only alternative to retail, corporations became multi-national and acknowledged as people, and the use of unlimited amounts of corporate money in our political system became an expression of free speech.

In other words, the reason why "Who Killed Referral Marketing?" is important is that it provides information that will help us to understand, as well as to change many of the negative political and economic circumstances that exist in America today.

Meet the Author

R.C. Palmer has almost 50 years of diversified business experience that includes an interest and personal involvement in the direct sales industry that began in the early 1970's.

He received his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration in 1964 from San Jose State University and his life's experiences include 5 years as an Army Aviator during the Viet Nam war, an insurance claims adjustor, independent insurance agency owner, owner and manager of his own direct sales company, commercial airline ground school instructor/line pilot, and one of the first to be diagnosed with chronic fatigue syndrome in 1980.

He has had an interest in the origins and elimination of the Referral Marketing format of direct sales from the public's awareness since discovering it during the 1970's and his first eBook, "Who Killed Referral Marketing?" describes in detail what he discovered.
