Children's LiteratureTiger Tales has published a series of board books that have a sliding panel. There is a question on each spread and the answer is revealed when the sliding panel is pulled up. For this book, the questions all relate to the various places that animals live. Clues are often given if you look at the panel or the picture. For example, for the question "Who lives in the tree?" and owl is hanging upside down on a branch. When the tab is pulled it reveals a female owl inside the hole in the tree. One might quibble about some of the entries such as a pig living in a barn and a beaver living in a river. We usually think of pigs living in a sty and beavers living in a lodge located in a pond that they have created. Young kids will learn something and have fun moving the sturdy slides up and down. Others in the series include Whose Hat Is That?, What's In the Box? and What's in the Egg? 2004, Tiger Tales, Ages 2 to 4.
