Who wants a baby in the family? Definitely not Hank Zipzer! Hank already has a super smart little sister who is more than enough for any big brother to put up with. But Hank's mom is pregnant, so he is going have to get used to the idea. Hank's brain might not be the zippiest when it comes to math and reading, but it is wildly creative in coming up with a unique plan for him to be able to "practice" being a big brother. At the pet store, he looks for a baby animal to hang out with for a week or so. "I'd like to see an animal in baby size, please. I'm looking for something that's like a baby. I'd like it to be annoying and spit up occasionally." Who would believe that Rosa, the Mexican red-knee tarantula, is just perfect for teaching Hank about the trials, tribulations, and even fun of having a brand new baby in the family. From the "Hank Zipzer, The World's Greatest Underachiever" series, this book stands alone as a laugh-out-loud delight. Reviewer: Anita Barnes Lowen

My grandson has learning disabilities and these books not only helped him reach his AR goal in 5th grade but made him excited to read books. The character of Hank Zipzer in the books has learning challenges and the stories made my grandson able to identify and discover that he's not alone. The entire Hank Zipzer series is funny and entertaining. I have my grandson read aloud not only to help his reading but because we both look forward to the story. Even adults will find themselves laughing!

George - I think this book is fabulous because I can relate to Hank Zipzer. At first I thought that a baby brother would be terrible but after I saw him I changed my mind. Barack - This book is fascinating at first because he didn't like his baby but at the end when he had a dream he did liked the baby. Obama - This book is good to read and fascinating. Matthew Ko - This book was really fascinating to me. It was a really good book and is really realistic. If I were a book critic I would give this book a golden medal.

I am 8 years old and like these books very much. I got the whole series for Christmas and read through them all. I especially like the part where the kids have a club and named their magic show "Magik 3". I think kids who don't really like books should read this because it's funny and a good starter to like reading. I hope more of these books are written.
