Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Marilyn Courtot
Wooly is a little lamb who really wants to go to sleep, but he cannot find his mother who always tucks him in. Various mothers offer their assistance. Mrs. Cow makes the bedcovers so tight he feels like a wrapped mummy. Mrs. Cat's kisses are just not the same as she licks his entire face. Mrs. Horse offers a big hug, and Mrs. Pig brings a pail of slops as a bed time snack. At each of these well meaning gestures, Wooly cries "No, no… That's not right. Oh, who will tuck me in tonight?" It will be no surprise to anyone that mama finally arrives and makes things right for her little Wooly, who is finally able to head off for a goodnight's sleep. The outlandish costumes on the animals, all the items to look at and the little mice perched and observing it all, will delight young ones. This is a board book brimming with charm and a very happy reassuring conclusion. Reviewer: Marilyn Courtot

    Love this bedtime book

We received this book as a hand-me-down, and I love it so much, I've purchased numerous copies in the board book format to give as gives. So sweet and a great length. Good for little ones and preschoolers.

    Fave Baby Shower Gift!

Since I am a children's dept bookseller, I love to give books that are not well known. This picture book, recently released in board book format, is my new favorite. It is funny, has nice repetition and the best part is there is opportunity to do fun voices while reading aloud.
