Integrating elements of Chinese medicine, personalized nutrition, and “extrasensory energy medicine,” natural health practitioner Mincolla’s “Whole Health Healing System” offers a multifaceted program to help readers address health problems without resorting to traditional Western methods. Diving into the deep end of the pool, Mincolla’s claims of distance healing may not be the best way to begin his argument, but he patiently makes his case for an individualized approach to, and taking ownership of, one’s healthcare. Common-sense tactics, such as avoiding processed foods and exercising, are intermingled with an Eastern approach to managing the body’s natural tendencies in an effort to give readers a greater sense of control. In most cases, this is sound and harmless, although his assertion that readers with an allergy to certain foods like peanuts and shellfish can test their sensitivities by simply thinking about said food is alarming. That said, health devotees interested in cultivating positivity and a measured approach to overall health, as opposed to relying on prescriptions and Western medicine, will likely find the book thought-provoking and worthy of further investigation. "Thought-provoking and worthy of further investigation."
—Publishers Weekly

"In this compelling, ambitious book, natural health care practitioner Mark Mincolla proposes that all disease takes root at the energetic level, and by learning to identify the energy deficiencies and excesses that cause pain and sickness, we can enter a more vibrant state of being. In clear, precise language, Mincolla breaks down exactly how energy is transmitted through thoughts in the form of vibrations, and how these different frequencies have the power to hurt or heal. Whole Health spans epochs, weaving the healing properties of foods with the big bang theory, classical Chinese medicine, and our sixth sense. It's the perfect book for readers seeking to tie theories of energy and awareness to their daily practice, but beware: one must be ready for a mind-expanding paradigm shift."
Spirituality & Health magazine

"Whole Health is loaded with many gems about health and wholeness. I highly recommend it/"
— Christiane Northrup, M.D.

"This is a must-read for all those searching for ways to increase their ability to take control of their nutritional, emotional, and physical well-being."

"Read this book and introduce yourself to the future of medicine, available to you right now."
— Dana Ullman, coauthor of Everybody's Guide to Homeopathic Medicine

“[Whole Health is] a synthesized whole-body program essential for any interested in overall health and how different emotional, physical, and spiritual systems interact. Add in appendixes packed with natural treatments for specific conditions from fibroids to Parkinson's disease and charts for body assessments and food and you have an important treatment that integrates many different holistic approaches to health.”

Mincolla, a natural health practitioner for more than 30 years, exhaustively details his "Whole Health Healing System," which helps individuals to balance holistically their energy, body, and mind. The system incorporates Chinese medicine, personalized nutrition, and "extrasensory energy medicine." Energy is the cornerstone of the system. Initially, a patient goes through an "Energy Diagnosis," an electromagnetic muscle-testing system "designed to monitor the body's energy fluctuations"; the test results can then be used to start healing body imbalances. The other strands of the process include body, nutritional, mind, and spirit balancing. The book is very thorough and intricately details complex concepts. It may take work to follow all the strands, but readers who feel an affinity with this approach to health care will find much to interest them, as the author is passionate and dedicated. VERDICT This book details a highly specific treatment plan developed by one individual. In the proof copy there is no bibliography of independent research to help support the ideas within the text, so it should be made available alongside titles that cover traditional medicine therapies so readers will have access to an unbiased collection of information.—Elizabeth J. Eastwood, Los Alamos Cty. Lib. Syst., NM

Whole Health, Mark Mincolla, Tarcher/Penguin, 2013, $27.95 Whole Health reveals how to reach optimum wellness by understanding the inescapable effect that the interconnected physical body, mind and spirit have on our health and well-being. Some of the exercises are based on ancient healing techniques. For example, Dr. Mark Mincolla’s whole health electromagnetic muscle testing, a customized system of neuromuscular biofeedback used as a vehicle for assessing, balancing and preserving Chi, is based on classical Chinese medicine, a 5,000-year-old system of human energy diagnostics. What you might enjoy best about the book is that it presents a myriad of diagnostic and healing resources for reaching optimal health such as sixth sense energy diagnosis, finding your constitution, acupuncture points, thought and word power, Qi Gong, food energy, mantras, and spirit healing for individual organs in your body. This powerful book is filled with valuable information on how you can work with your body’s intuitive nature to feel better.  — Rasheno Nejad - New Connexion Journal
