Overview

Dalal Abu Suleiman, an only child and heiress to one of the wealthiest and the most influential families in Lebanon, comes to know Christ as her personal Savior, through the influence of her Christian classmate and next-door neighbor.


The new Christian faith adopted by this pampered teen-age girl�as her name suggests�causes her to lose everything at one point. She is torn from her own home and country, forsaken by her own mother and family, loses her identity and goes through the shadow of the valley of death for the sake of Christ

I would like to thank my husband, B. Hatem, for taking the arduous task, of translating my first novel I wrote in Arabic. It probably took him as much time as it took me to write the novel, yet he persevered.


It is never an easy task to translate from one language into another, especially, when the translator, attempts to find the right and closest word equivalents in keeping the spirit of the intended thoughts intact. I hope that he has done so; as he usually does.


I would like to thank my friend, Dr. George Hanna, who was a major player in the creation of the original novel.


Also, I like to thank Margaret Saliba, among other family and friends, in assisting in various ways to bring this novel to life.
