Overview

The last thing Judy expected on a cloudy day, October 18th, 2010, was an unexpected trip back home. As she sat looking out the window of the plane, memories from her past of growing up on a horse farm in Virginia flooded her mind.
The conversation with her sister Kate still rang in her ears. Their father was on his way to deliver a horse in Waynesboro, Virginia when his vehicle veered off the road, skidded several feet before hitting a large tree.
Having a father who showed no affection for her or the rest of the family brought back bad memories of how he treated her mother. When Kate was only eight years old, she found her dead mother at the bottom of the basement stairs. Her father wasting money on one get-rich scheme after another not only led to an early grave for her mother but contributed to an early death of a very loving step-mother.
Questions now haunted her as she prepared for the landing in Virginia to confront her past.
