A near perfect album made even better with the bonus tracks

What else can one say? This is one of the greatest albums of all time. The addition of the bonus tracks makes it even better (very happy to hear this version of Pure and Easy).

35 Years and Going Strong

It says "release date 1995." I hate when they do that - this CD was remastered and released then, but the album came out in 1971. I can't believe it! This music has held up so well - it's timeless. The original album had the first 9 songs I think... the rest are nice bonus material, including an alternate version of "Behind Blue Eyes." This is truly one of the greatest rock albums of all time.

this album is why the who are considered gods of rock. IT IS AMAZING! possibly one of the best rock albums ever recorded, up there with dsotm and zoso if not beyond. if you consider yourself a rock fan and don't have this album, shame on you. when i first listened to it i wasn't crazy about it, but i gave it another chance, and am i ever glad i did! it's a masterpiece. rock on.

greatest ''tho who'' album evermade!

my freind kept insistig that i had to get this cd..telling me that this is the greatest ''the who'' cd ever! so i finally picked it up. he was right...i'm telling you people..if you are in anyway not sure to get this or not, do get it! you'll get your moneys worth!

The Who's best album

This is an incredible album from start to finish and contains some of the best songs of the entire Who catalog. My favorites are ''Baba O'Riley'', ''My Wife'', and ''Behind Blue Eyes''.

who is next?

This album holds memories to my teenage years. I always thought this was the best rock album ever written! The music and lyrics are so well done. Keith Moon was the best.

Even better than the L.P

This is a collection of seemingly disparate songs, that are linked in actuality by Townsend's vision of a ''Lifehouse'' opera. With the addition of the bonus tracks, this album becomes richer than ever. ''Naked Eye'' and ''Too Much of Anything'' add depth to the mix- while ''Water'' is an awesome statement of Rock and Roll desire. Recorded live, it features a perfect imitation of The Doors' vocal and musical style- just for one lyric, and as if to prove that no one can out-rock The Who.

MASTERPIECE!!!

This is one of the greatest albums in rock history. It's profoundly execeptional lyrics are what masterpieces are made of. From the hypnotic opening of BABA O'REILY', it has your full attention and never eases up. 'THE WHO' has created one of the finest written albums to date. Pete Townshend's guitar playing is superb, Keith Moon's drumming is first rate, and, of course, Roger Daltrey's vocals are raw and crisp. The abandoned 'LIFEHOUSE' project would have been great i'm sure, but if we would have never heard this classic because of it, now, that, would have been a crying shame.

the bloody best

This is probably one of the best rock n' roll albums of all time. Pete Townshend created a masterpiece of epic proportions. Every song is good, most are truely great. If this album doesn't inspire you to pick up a six string nothing will.

The Best

With possibly the exception of Rush and their album entitled ''2112'', no band in rock history has ever equaled the genious and power encapsuled within ''Who's Next''. A rock classic you ask? Not even close. It goes beyond classic. It has and always will speak for a generation which witnessed rock music at its very finest.

A Majestic Landmark Recording

The career best for one of the greatest rock and roll bands of all time. This represents the finest work of all members involved. Roger's voice has matured, John's basslines became more involved, Keith's drumming while still wild, became more disciplined, and Pete's songwriting reached a whole new level of sophistication. It all came together on this album, even if it came to life as an aborted concept album. Most of the songs are among the best the group has ever recorded before or since. The remastering job is well done and the addition of relavent bonus tracks would make this a bargain at twice the price. While Pete did release Lifehouse Elements thirty years later, it still does not come close to matching the impact of music performed by the Who.

A Reissue Marred Only By What Could Have Been

When the Who's catalog began being remastered and reissued in 1995, it was inevitable that WHO'S NEXT, the band's greatest album and arguably the best album in the history of rock, would pose problems. The album itself arose out of the aborted LIFEHOUSE project, although a number of great songs from that rock opera, such as
