Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature
Tiger Tales has published a series of board books that have a sliding panel. There is a question on each spread and the answer is revealed when the sliding panel is pulled up. For this book, the questions all relate to a variety of hats and who would be wearing them. Clues are often given if you look at the panel or the picture. For example, for the question "Who is that in a flight cap?" a duck is peeking out from the reeds and is shown more completely when the tab is pulled. One might quibble about some of the entries, since animals don't wear hats, but the settings are amusing and young kids will learn something while they have fun moving the sturdy slides up and down. Others in the series include Who Lives Here?, What's In the Box?, and What's in the Egg? 2004, Tiger Tales, Ages 2 to 4.
