Editorial Reviews

School Library Journal
PreS-Gr 3-A brief picture-book guessing game. The tracks of six common forest creatures are described, along with some of their habits and eating preferences. Children are asked ``Who am I?'' and must turn the page to see the squirrel, chipmunk, deer, raccoon, rabbit, or fox on a colorful, double-page spread. The watercolor-and-ink illustrations are attractive but not outstanding; the bright, eye-catching cover calls to mind the artwork of Jan Brett. Betsy Bowen's Tracks in the Wild (Little, 1993) is a better choice for identifying animal prints.-Amy Adler, Toledo-Lucas County Public Library, OH
