Peter Kline argues, from deep experience as an innovative teacher, researcher, and consultant in reading and accelerated learning skills, that standardized testing produces a population that can follow instructions, but it kills our greatest resource: the creative minds of our children. It's interpretation, not comprehension, that is needed. Today's world requires a radically different approach to education.     Very Informative

    Peter Kline is a genius in my opinion. I am a 15 yr. old high school student and I have for years wondered why other children can't get as much enjoyment out of reading as I do. Peter explains issues that are so important that teachers, parents and everybody should read this book. He explains issues on how children learn, things like dyslexia, why children don't want to read. This book is a must read for teachers whom are teaching children to read. His book puts pressure on the system to change so that America's children will grow up to be better readers. Your money will be very well spent when buying this.
