It did not answer all my questions

The book is adequate although it did not answer all of my questions -- but if all my questions were answered it would have to be dictionary size. It is easy to read, entertaining, and a basic guide. Would be a good gift for a new pet owner, and it is priced reasonably.

    Great for beginners!

I bought this book for my husband, because he was constantly asking why our miniature pinscher exhibited certain odd (to him) behaviors. Having never grown up around dogs, this book really helped him understand that there is a reason why Maggie does certain things and what she is trying to communicate to us as her owners. It doesn't go much in depth, but it's a great general use book for those new owners who have questions about some of the odd things dogs do.
