Do not attempt to parent without reading this book. As a mom of a girl, 12 and boy, 13 that are twelve months apart, I wish I could have read this book while they were toddlers. The combination of scientific research on gender and straight forward parenting advice for children of all ages make it a must read. My own experience of parenting a child of each gender is clearly backed up by this book, but more importantly, the information on what's coming at me in the teenage years will be invaluable. Read it a.s.a.p

This book was amazing; it reads very easily, even on complex topics. The concepts here could revolutionized our school systems at minimal cost. A very exciting topic.

Overview
Are boys and girls really that different? Twenty years ago, doctors and researchers didn’t think so. Back then, most experts believed that differences in how girls and boys behave are mainly due to differences in how they were treated by their parents, teachers, and friends. It's hard to cling to that belief today. An avalanche of research over the past twenty years has shown that sex differences are more significant and profound than anybody guessed. Sex differences are real, biologically programmed, and important to how children are raised, disciplined, and educated.
