WHY STOMACH ACID IS GOOD FOR YOU describes the problem, and makes suggestions about the need for correction, and various steps and precautions to take to remedy the situation. I found it to be a very worthwhile book. Also, I liked its speedy delivery.

When wondering why your stomach and bowels feel all in a twist, this might well be a good place to start. I had been following the advice of Robert O. Young in THE PH BALANCE FOR WEIGHT LOSS, and using baking soda in my water for several years. Now, I see how harmful using baking soda was. Wish I had never fallen for that advice. Only problem with Dr. Wright's book is that once you figure out you have low stomach acid, he isn't clear on how to find a doctor to treat you.

Excellent book! I highly recommend it if you are considering taking any acid-suppressing drug. Dr. Wright makes it easy for the reader to understand potentially difficult medical jargon.
