About the Author

Betty Awbrey is a retired educator from San Antonio, Texas, and has been involved in educating gifted and bilingual children for 30 years. She continues her commitment to educating children through her volunteer work. She updates and expands each new edition since the death of her father, Claude Dooley, who compiled the original in 1978. He was a retired businessman and entrepreneur from Odessa, Texas. Stuart Awbrey is retired from USAA and now enjoys traveling and gardening. He is an avid reader of Texas and American history. Betty and Stuart enjoy traveling and reside near Boerne, Texas.
