    You Must Read This Book

This is an excellent book for teachers and for parents. The author discusses the effects of stress and trauma on the brain, and explains the influence that it has on learning, academic performance and behavior. This book is an eye-opener and it really makes you feel more compassionate towards students who suffer from stress and trauma. You learn how, sometimes, the stress manifests itself in the form of aggression, and other times in the form of total disengagement. It is reader-friendly and the information is clear and concise. I would recommend this book to anyone who has children or works with children. You will definitely be glad you read this book.
