    must read for beginners!

I thought Gerina did an excellent job of putting the brunt into one book. If you havent read a Gerina Dunwich book, make this the first one! a great starter to her many other accomplishments!

    I was quite impressed....

I was quite impressed with this little book. Dunwich explains just enough to get the beginner going, without blabbing. One reviewer is right when she says Dunwich doesn't explain much about the religion itself, but she explains enough. This book has a great introduction and in Chapter one I was glad to see a section on the Witches' Liberation. I liked the rituals provided and the herbal chapter has good references. Her chapter on magick is ok and her chapter on Sabbats in even better! I liked her chapter on trees, I was suprised to find it in there, and you wont find better info on trees in other Wiccan beginner books. Also, the tree chapter makes a good reference guide. I liked her chapter on the Witch's Kitchen and I liked her chapter on dreams, yet perhaps it could have been longer. Also, perhaps those periodical are out of date. I hope you enjoy this book.
