I must say that this is the best and most informative book on the Wiccan religion and one of the very best books that I have ever had the pleasure to read, period. Raymond Buckland takes the time to explain all aspects of Wicca from it's very beginning up to today, so clearly. This book is not about purchasing supplies to do magick, but is about full and complete Wicca as the religion that it is. He explains how to make the proper supplies, like annointing oil, of which the ingredients can be found at any local food market and turn it into a magickal tool. For anyone looking for a book that truly explains everything you might ever want, or need to know whether new or old to the religion, this book has it all. This book makes the reader well aware that Wicca is not about wearing jewelry, not just about herbs and candles and spells, but about Wicca as a FULL RELIGION. I plan to purchase every other book written by this wonderful author. This book truly does make me even prouder than I usually am to be a fellow Wiccan. Thank You Raymond Buckland Thank You!
