Overview

This is the complete WICK Omnibus Edition, and includes the completely re-edited and expanded text of Michael Bunker's four WICK series books.

"...beautiful and haunting..."
"...Tolstoyan, and beautiful..."
"...positively anarchic..."

"Michael Bunker goes way beyond writing a popular thriller: he clearly has a literary agenda, making the W1CK series so rich and so deep you could analyse each and every page and write a whole book about it. I guess you'd have to call it W1CK1P3D1A." ~ Max Zaoui, Everyone's a Critic Reviews

In WICK 1... a man walked out of New York City after Hurricane Sandy and fell off the edge of the earth...

In WICK 2: Charm School... a mysterious town explodes in violence and America is dealt a deadly blow...

In WICK 3: Exodus... the world is without power. You are on foot and have no home. Any stranger you meet may kill you... and normal is never coming back.

In WICK 4: One Word of Truth... Weeks after the world has been crippled by massive EMP attacks, nuclear weapons are used on major cities, and survivors grapple with a changed world that may never be the same again.

In this much anticipated WICK Omnibus Edition, Michael Bunker's completed WICK series is finally bound into one earth-shattering novel.

    Excellent read

The writing is excellent. This book will definitely hold your interest. A fascinating blend of action & suspense with a healthy dose of philosophy, pathos and just enough tragedy. Think Mad Max meets The Hunger Games. You'll enjoy it.

    Amazing story

Deep, profound, cleverly woven...this story was exquisite! I don't have the words that would adequately describe this book, but it is one that will make you look at the world with a different perspective. The end of life as we know it...could YOU survive? Review by CherishD

I don't usually provide ratings or reviews - despite the fact I

I don't usually provide ratings or reviews - despite the fact I am a very prolific reader. My tastes are extremely eclectic and - although I do read much of the popular fiction - I love to 'discover' talented, independent authors who have (at least not yet) been elevated to elite status. In my opinion, Michael Bunker is an exceptional author. With 'WICK' he has shown both an imagination and a literary skill that is exceptional. This book was clever and engrossing from beginning to end. I often found myself entertained by the philosophical discussions that are weaved throughout the story. Often, these topics are not an integral part of either the storyline or the main characters. However, I rarely found myself bored or restless as the author put the action on hold and waxed philosophically. Mr. Bunker most definitely has a way with words. He brings his characters to life and makes you truly care about them. If I have one criticism (and it is only a minor critique) it is that this book has many, many characters. As the action unfolds, the reader is regularly shifted back and forth between several different events/activities that seem somehow disconnected but become more understandable as the story progresses. To add insult to injury, the characters who originate in Warwick continually change their names (from Russian to American), which can be confusing. However, as I stated, this was a minor complaint. I found the book to be captivating, sometimes mesmerizing. The prose was outstanding; the story was a fresh twist on an old theme (the end-of-life-as-we-know-it); and it was often difficult (if not impossible) to put it down. I suspect 'WICK' is not for everyone (what book is?). But I found it to be great entertainment and would give it a very strong recommendation.
