Editorial Reviews

From Barnes & Noble
The Barnes & Noble Review
Nina Bangs goes into overdrive with this funny, sexy paranormal adventure, the first in a trilogy starring three ultra-handsome brothers who run the Castle of Dark Dreams, an adult fantasy theme park. The plot kicks off as radio talk show host Donna Nolan agrees to broadcast live from the Castle for a week -- anything to stop the phone-ins from crazy women raving about their nonstop sex with vampires, demons, and who knows what else. She's unprepared for meeting the park's director, Eric McNair, secretly a vampire Highlander, the ultimate in sexy, sinister ├╝ber-males. He's definitely going to meet his match with her, too. Throw in a cosmic sexual troublemaker, a telepathic cat, a red-hot pirate fantasy, and more chocolate than the town of Hershey will ever see, and you've got another entertaining, romantic smorgasbord from the author of Night Bites. A delightful paranormal

Cosmic troublemaker Sparkle Stardust is drawn to Galveston, Texas where she targets three immortal beings; the owners of the Castle of Dark Dreams the main attraction in the adult theme park, Live the Fantasy. Her first stud is Eric McNair, a vampire who melts chocolates with one leering stare................................ Talk show host Donna Nolan reluctantly leaves Houston to conduct interviews at the Castle of Dark Dreams. Sparkle thinks she is the perfect person to shake Eric as these two opponents would be better than watching a heavyweight championship fight. When Eric and Donna meet, sparks fly high enough to light up the state of Texas. However, another vampire, holding Eric culpable for the death of his sibling, sees Donna as the bait to enact vengeance. Eric willingly risks immortality to save his beloved............................ WICKED NIGHTS is a typical Nina Bangs paranormal romance filled with humor and sex at times together with the right touch of suspense. The story line is action packed as Sparkle gets her wish, a bloodsucking hunk and a mortal battling one another and their attraction for each other. Readers will enjoy this wicked tale and look forward to novels starring Eric¿s siblings, a demon and an immortal warrior, that will surely sparkle with fun....................... Harriet Klausner

Not as good as I expected

I read this book based on the reviews prior mine. I thought the book was very ridiculous most of the time. The story line was a bit silly but not so bad that I didn't finish it, I also found some of the character's to be quit annoying including the heroin. I found she wasn't very bright, considering all the hints and clues pretty much smacked her in the face, kicked her in the shins, spit in her face and so on she still didn't get it for most of the book.

    Very clever writer

I really like this writer keeps you laughing and very interested in the story. Very steamy love scenes. Great charachers and story lines. All kinds of paranormal beings. I reccomend this book and this writer. Love is in the air at The Castle of Dark Dreams where your fantasies can come true if you live to tell about it. Try a fantasy but dont forget that opposits attract with lots of fun and laughs and heart touching moments especially with a cosmic trouble maker or two around and vampires and demons and immortal warriors all studs of course. You will enjoy this book as well as the other three in the series.

    How did this get publish?

The beggining is shaky and doesn't even get interesting till 100 pages in, it's good for about 40 pages and the rest is kinda like "who cares?".
The only reason I finished this book is becuase I like to give books a chance but I wish I could get back my money, and I got it at clearance price!, would have rathered that latte than a story that wasn't put together well enough. I have to admit that it's an orignal storyline, sorta, but the"love" between Donna and Eric is so unmoving. This had potential but fell short of anything interesting. I have read better vampire /romance in the YA section!

I loved this book, I've never sent a review before so this is a first. I liked the characters, while reading I could picture everything in my mind. I didn't want it to end. I can't wait to read the next two in the trilogy.

    Divinity of the Finest Kind

Wick Nights is a riveting tale that depicts the full circumspect of human emotion. Bangs delived a awe worthy story with deliciously heated scenes. It's most definitely not a trashy romance novel, like that of the tactless, but sensually fulfilling, and a kick of hilarity that broadens the range of literature. Wick Nights will take your image of romance and make it seem pathetic. All you women who think you won't be like your way too girly friends and shriek with delight, think again. Comes highly recommend and guarantees laughs, sorrow, joy, sensuality, and an overall 'wicked' novel.

    Wicked Nights

Vampires normally want to avoid publicity, so falling for a talk show host is rather against their better interests, you would think. However, Eric is learning that every rule has an exception, and Donna is his. With a full complement of cosmic troublemakers and a couple of hormone driven plants along, a good time is sure to be had, if the pesky little ancient feud Eric has with a slightly anti-social vampire doesn't get in the way of romance. **** More people would be cat people if there were kitties running around like the ones in Ms. Bangs' world. Since Eric's 'brothers'' look just as intriguing as he does, I think Sparkle, Deimos, and Asima have a long career ahead of them. ****
