Meet the Author

The Fun Part: Calinda B was told early on that she should be a writer. She heard frequent praise for her writing, as well as her sense of humor. Scoffing at such admonitions and praise, she went on to pursue her life of adventure, chock full of the things that make up a well-rounded adventurous life: music (yup, she was a singer in a rock and roll band), dance (even performed hip hop in Russia), rock climbing (ever hung from a rock wall a few stories up? Yikes!), fire walking (taught high-ranking Moscow fire officials how to walk the coals), kayaking, scuba diving (she's in love with sharks), travel, and falling in love again and again.

The Daily Grind: An award-winning web designer and certified SEO specialist, Calinda B has worked in the Internet industry as a web page designer/developer since the early 1990's. She has also taught web site design and computer graphics at community colleges in Northern California. In addition to writing, Calinda B creates fine art and music, and enjoys scuba diving, kayaking, and bike riding. Calinda B makes her home in the Pacific Northwest with the love of her life and her two cats. She is about to begin her 4th book in the Wicked Series.

The third book in the Wicked series is a riveting and passionate

The third book in the Wicked series is a riveting and passionately charged fantasy read.  As far as Kai Williams is concerned, his ability to sense souls’ darkest desires is a serious liability. Now he has a choice surrender his heart to love or fall prey to the evil Angela. Will he find true love by embracing his incredible powers to defeat Angela.
The plot is steady to fast paced and flows smoothly from one intriguing scene to the next keeping readers fascinated with suspense, drama, and romance.  The author brings her story to life to with well written descriptions and details that inspire vivid images and capture the imagination.  The characters are strong and compelling grabbing the reader’s attention and arousing lots of delightful curiosity throughout the story.
This book follows Kai and Cassie as they join the battle against evil with the wicked Angela once again causing mayhem. Kai is a multi layered character that transforms for the better and I must say he takes over the story, while Cassie is not as attention grabbing, but then it’s hard to compete with Cherie. The beloved characters Kayden, Cam and Cherie are back as well ensuring that the story continues to charm the readers and draw them deeper into this fantastical world of “Galaxy Dancers”
Calinda brings everything together in a complex and challenging world that has multiple parallel plots that add depth and layers to the story that really keep the reader engaged in the drama and energy of the story as it unfolds. The unique characters and world has many facets and refreshingly different elements that the reader is transported into another reality as they follow along making it easy to picture every event and scene.  I was totally captivated by the story from the very beginning and unfortunately I have to wait to read the next one, oh well… I will do so with impatience. Oh and I guess I should let you know, I highly recommend reading the series in order for better understanding of this complicated and enchanting world.

Cherie, Cam and Kayden continue their adventures of cosmic delig

Cherie, Cam and Kayden continue their adventures of cosmic delight. Wicked Whispering is the third book of the Wicked Series by Calinda B. Once again, this author has masterfully woven a tale that isn't the usual paranormal romance. She's continues to develop her characters (good and evil) revealing more insight into their personal and interpersonal journeys.

I love the way the plot lines are developed simultaneously through out. You watch the plot unfold with the attention to detail that enables the reader to picture the scenes as if they were taking place right then and there. I can easily see this series being developed into a movie or series... it's that good.

I can't wait to see what happens next. After all the twists and turns in the third book, I know these friends and lovers will have many more challenges in the future.

As much as I enjoyed this book, I have to admit that I think it

As much as I enjoyed this book, I have to admit that I think it was probably my least favorite of the three I’ve read, but I REALLY liked those, so even being my least fave doesn’t mean it’s bad…not at all!! I think I just noticed some editing and proofing problems that I hadn’t noticed in the others and it was a bit distracting at times. And I wasn’t all that in love with Cassie, and found myself wanting to read more of the chapters with Kayden, Cherie and Cam. I did like Kai, but I don’t know, something was missing for me. Not sure what. I think I also felt like the book was too long…some parts dragged on or felt unnecessary for the forward movement of the story and probably could’ve been cut. But overall the story and the plot is amazing. I don’t think I’d recommend this book as a standalone (meaning you should read the first books in the series before this one) because there is so much back story that is important to the characters and their “special talents” you should really understand it in order to have maximum enjoyment from this book.

A Wicked Whispering continues the fantastical voyage of the char

A Wicked Whispering continues the fantastical voyage of the characters we’ve met in the earlier books and introduces us to some new ones as the magical and romantic and sexy journey continues. Here we have Kai, a sexy “whale whisperer” if you will, who becomes infatuated with Cassie. This may sound innocent enough, but the way the story unfolds and how everything is connected in the end (nice twist there) pulls you in and takes you to another world (literally). I have to say I have really enjoyed reading this series and like the author’s writing style. Even though the scenes are pretty fantastical, there is a level of believability there that makes reading these books a magical experience. I’m happy to have found them and will recommend them to fans of women’s fiction, erotica, romance, fantasy, and paranormal. Intended for mature audiences.

Wicked Whispering: Book III in the Wicked Series by Calinda B. i

Wicked Whispering: Book III in the Wicked Series by Calinda B. is the third book I’ve read from this author now and I loved it just as much as I did the first two (A Wicked Awakening and A Wicked Beginning). I gave both those books 5 stars and already had the bar set pretty high in my mind for this one. I am so happy that I wasn’t at all disappointed. Maybe it’s because I know the characters and the background better, but I loved how I was able to totally lose myself in this unique and imaginative world that is muy caliente! (HOT!) I wish they could make a movie out of these books because I’d LOVE to see what some of the characters would look like, especially Kai. Hope the series continues!

Great book. I like how this series is set up with a new storyline that continues from an existing one and still brings back the characters from the original book, even if the focus is on a newer one. (did that make sense?) The diving scenes were great and I liked Kai, even if Cassie paled a bit compared to Cherie (but then again, who wouldn’t?) I admit I think I still found myself enjoying the trio’s chapters better, as they are just so much fun to follow. But an enjoyable read start to finish, and be forewarned that like the others, this is quite a lengthy book, but oh so enjoyable!
