Editorial Reviews

Alexis Review
SOOOO GOOOD!!! In the town of Wicked anything can happen. Ever since her parents and brother mysteriously disappeared, Briony is forced to live with her Aunt Sophie. When Sophie's aunt tells her that the town is not what it seems, and she hunts vampires, Briony knows she is in over her head. Add the fact that she also wants her to slay vampires, and Briony knows she is in no ordinary situation. Briony is juggling school, working at the diner, and training. Add two boys pining over you to the mix

First Impressions: I've been waiting to get my `eyes' on this book since I first heard of it. My anticipation was well rewarded! The Wicked Woods is all I hoped it would be and more! It is eerie and haunting and mysterious, suspenseful with a dash of sweet romance on the side! The writing is so rich with wonderful characters and a powerful storyline. This is the Debut series of the year!

    I Also Recommend:

Get me the next book now!

Mysterious from the start, with some humor, too. Briony is a new girl who moved to Wicked, Massachusetts after her parents and brother disappears in the Woods there. From there, she finds everything is not what it appears there. I'm Team Kevin, but I really adore Fallon, too.

    Did not like it...

For me, this book was boring. I ended up skimming the pages just to finish it. I will not buy any more in this series. I am disappointed because I really liked Gow's Bitter Frost book. On my nook, the book is about 148 pages but the text is smaller.

There really wasn't any character development and the book didn't end with closure. If you like cheesy Buffy the vampire slayer type action then this books for you.
