This well-written book should be required reading for all high school level American Literature courses, especially in Christian schools and homeschooling families. Susan Warner's style is engaging. Ellen experiences the same kinds of events and emotions that we do today, and Miss Warner gently walks us through appropriate biblical responses to a variety of losses and trials.
I cant believe i am going to say this but this is better than litle women and i have read that theee times in the mont i have had it. You must read this. It is a real tearjerker. A positively heartbreaking story but o so good
I was enjoying this old-fashioned story alot even though the typos in it are down-right annoying, when much to my surprise, it was suddenly over without warning. The end of the story was just not there! So, I am left wondering what happened in the end. I guess I will have to buy a copy if one is available. Hazards of downloading free books I guess. Disappointing.
