This 470 page book was filled with emotion and God's lessons. Very sweet, clean Christian book that paints beautiful pictures in your mind. The depth of character the author has artfully woven for everyone makes you feel like you personally know them by the end of the book. While this book was free, the others in this series are over my budget at this time even though I would love to learn more about the characters from this book in addition to the new residents of Gresham.

I enjoyed this book so much that I went out of my way to be certain to read the whole series. Takes one back to another time/place; one we will never see again. Truly a pleasure to read.

Really enjoyed reading this book. It was encouraging and uplifting. Great intimacy but NO sexual interaction. I'll probably read it again, will stay on Nook.

I loved this book and just started on the next one. The characters are so like-able and authentic. Somewhat called to mind the Mitford series I read years ago, but stands on its own merits. One of the best of this genre that I've read in a long time.

The widow who knew nothing about the gambling debts her late husband incurred, etc.. The plot never fully developed and it did not hold my attention. Certain important characters are only briefly mentioned later in the story and there is not full closure. I found myself forcing my way through the pages just to finish it. I would not recommend purchasing.

This was an enjoyable read. The characters were developed well and were true to character and setting as the plot developed.
While some "historical" fiction puts present day trends and values in 19th century settings, The Widow of Larkspur Inn was refreshing. These people could have lived in the setting and time described.
I'll gladly read more books by this author.

Enjoyed this story. It was not your usual romance but dealt with various age groups. Interwoven very nicely.

I liked the overall content. It accurately depicted the historical time. I liked the idea that it was a romance novel without being trashy.

Big fan of historical fiction. Read this book because it was free, ended up liking it a lot. I personally would have been driven crazy if I was placed in the position of the heroine of the story.
