About the Author

Scott grew up in the wonderful small town of Bremen, North Dakota, population about 40. He attended North Dakota State University in Fargo for a couple years, mostly learning how to have a good time in the city. Then, after serving a 20-year career in the U.S. Army, Scott settled in Bend, Oregon. He did go back to college, actually did some school work this time, and graduated in 1998 - at about the same time as Scott Jr.

Scott is ready to make a major course correction, and now is preparing to move back to North Dakota.
