Samantha Elliot
Owner of matchmaking firm Alliance and not on the marital menu…that is, until Blake offers her ten million dollars for a one-year contract. And there’s nothing indecent about this proposal. The money will really help with her family’s medical bills. All Samantha will need to do is keep her attraction to her new husband to herself and avoid his bed.

But Blake’s toe-curling kisses and sexy charm prove too difficult for Sam to resist. It was a marriage contract that planned for everything… except falling in love.

From The Critics
If one has ever wondered whatever happened to all those Dukes and Earls from our favorite historical romances, look no further! In “Wife By Wednesday”, Ms. Bybee has successfully taken the ever popular regency tome’ of titles, heirs money and inheritances, transplanted it into contemporary society and turned it on its ear! The writing is down-to-earth, girl-next-door readable, the dialogue quick, witty with just enough snark to make it pop and the romance is a sweet, slightl

    A Quite Delightful Read!

Blake Harrison needs a wife and he needs one now. Or by Wednesday, the latest. With his father having passed away, a sizable portion of his estate is due to go towards his cousin if he doesn't meet the demands of his father's will. Blake is intent on doing everything within his power to make sure that this doesn't happen.

Mind you, he doesn't need the money. He's a self-made millionaire, you see. Yet he's intent on keeping what has always been rightfully his.

Deciding to acquire the services of Alliance, a matchmaking firm that will ensure he'll find someone who will help him with what he needs, he's unprepared for Sam. He'd thought he'd be working with a man in having his demands met. Instead, he's presented with a voluptuous beauty that butts head with him at every turn and delivers honesty over things that leaves him breathless.

Sam agrees to his requests, unable to deny that she needs the money to continue taking care of her sister. While she does her best to guard her heart from being hurt by someone else, she also finds it hard to deny that she's falling for Blake's easy-going manner and his smooth, suave charms. So much so, that she's unable to resist him for long.

Catherine's book is quite delightful. It's very fast-paced and keeps a person glued to the pages. It really does. I enjoyed every minute of it and recommend the book to others for reading.

    Highly Recommend

If you are looking for a quick read, this one's for you. I've loved every book I've purchased by Catherine Bybee and this one did not disappoint. When Blake Harrison's father dies, his Will stipulates that Blake must be married to inherit the estate and his title of Duke, which means he needs a wife/Duchess quickly. Sam Elliot's dating service has been recommended to him as a possible solution to his wife dilemma, but can one be found before the end of the week who will agree to the terms? Catherine Bybee puts a unique spin to the old fashion mail order bride weaved in with today's modern day dating service, which I loved - And of course there's that happy ending that will not disappoint.

Think you've seen this before? Think again...

Arranged marriages in romance are a time-honored tradition. So are blue blood characters resentful of the strictures of class. If Ms. Bybee's book had just been another one of these tired, old tales, I wouldn't have read it.

But the author takes familiar themes and character types, shakes them out, turns them inside out, and makes something entirely new. Sam is no one's dutiful daughter led unwilling to matrimony. Blake is no typical spoiled scion of old money. These are grown people with their own ideas about what they want out of life and how to get it.

The sparks fly as the immoveable object meets the irresistible force.

Loved it...but wish it were longer!!!

Would have loved it even more if the bulk of the book was longer. Seemed a little rushed. I didn't want it to wrap up so quickly. But would still recommend it for sure!

    Poorly written

This book sucks. It is far too short to contain any character development. The characters are one dimensional and some sentences are worded weirdly. The entire format of the book is wonky, but I won't blame that on the author. Being an avid reader of romance novels, I'm used to short novels with a quick pace, but this book was terrible.

    Good Read

Once you start reading you'll want to finish the entire book. It's a short book and there are the occasional errors, but overall a good read.

    Worth 99 cents

Though this story was a bit obvious, I'll admit I couldn't put it down. The characters were likable and their falling in love believable.

    Good read

This book is fairly well written but the characters arent fully developed, the plot improbable. Also, a rich hero never really does it for me..who cares about designer clothes? . Short at 127 pages. I would say the author has promise. Compare to Lorraine Heath novels or Pamela Clare...just nowhere near the richness. But lots of fun anyway. But I thought all those ducal estates were entailed...so that seems to make the plot even more improbable. Overall fun and light.

I love a love story that was not suppose to happen. It was obvious but still. Wish it would have been longer.

    Wife By Wednesday

Delightful, predictable but a nice quick read. Have read another e-book with a similar theme. If you just like "love" stories you'll enjoy this one. By the way, I enjoyed this one more than the previous one!! if that helps
