Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Melyssa Malinowski
Little Wiggly Worm is a very shy worm. He spends his day looking for a place to hide. He hides on a twig, but a blue jay needs it for her nest. He hides behind a flower, but two butterflies need it for lunch. Next he tries to hide behind a leaf, but three caterpillars need that for their dinner. Then he hides behind an apple, but four ants need it for a picnic. All of a sudden Wiggly is no longer hiding. All of his friends are happy to see him out in the open. They invite him to come and play and he happily agrees. Wiggly Worm is an adorable board book with thick pages and very bright illustrations. There is the underlying theme of colors and counting throughout the whole story. It just begs for questions like "show me one blue jay" or "point to the orange flower" or "count the butterflies." This book would be wonderful in a home or a preschool classroom or a public library. Reviewer: Melyssa Malinowski
