Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Marilyn Courtot
It is the day of the country fair and everyone is getting ready. The pies and jams have been carefully packed, and Wilbur is given a special buttermilk bath to make his skin shine. All of his friends want him to be special and win a prize so Mr. Zuckerman will keep him on the farm. With the help of Charlotte, who spins her web with words to describe how Wilbur fantastic is, and Templeton the rat, who scavenges for papers containing words that Charlotte can use, Wilbur is identified as "humble" but at the same time very proud to have such wonderful friends. The story, based on the recently released movie, has been adapted from the original book by E. B. White. A note to parents appears at the front to help them and the new reader get the most out of the book. A Level 2 book in the "I Can Read" series.
