From "Rose Morgan: Star Crossed Love"
Enter the drop-dead beautiful Rose Morgan, a Mormon girl who lived on a ranch less than a mile away from where Matt Warner was hiding out. Rose was pretty enough to knock the boots off even a near-sighted range rider. She also had a fine, enticing figure, and a smile to die for. Her hair was thick and rich, and Matt knew he'd give every dollar in his money belt for just one kiss.

All of Matt's good intentions about ignoring women seemed to vanish like a summer storm over the top of the peaks when his eyes met the lovely Rose Morgan. When they got together, the air was thick, thick and heavy like the August air just before the clouds open up. His knees were weak and all he'd ever said and preached about romance was forgotten.

"She was a mighty good looking blonde," Matt says in his book. "I laid my eyes on her and all my strong resolution against women oozed out of me. That girl was cut out for me and she was going to be mine."

Matt had to eat a fair amount of crow from his buddies at such a swift reversal of his theories on love and woman. The dashing young outlaw, it seemed, had not only been roped, he had been branded after his first meeting with the lovely young Miss Morgan. To make matters more interesting, this mountain girl had also fallen hard for him. After that evening, no other man seemed to matter to her. She was going to have Matt Warner or die trying.

Before long, Rose Morgan knew she had this cowboy hogtied in her corral. When a cowpoke starts polishing up his boots, washing up every day, and putting on a clean shirt once or twice a week, he's got serious courting on his mind. However, there was a slight problem that Matt Warner had conveniently overlooked. He forgot to tell his new love he was a wanted outlaw.
