At the beginning of each chapter there are bullets with brief details about what should be learned in that chapter. The first chapter gives general information and introduces the reader to hydroplane boats. The next chapter tells about the history of hydroplane boats and how they evolved into the types of boats that are raced today. The third chapter details how a hydroplane boat is designed including the various parts of the boat and the materials they are made of. It also explains the safety gear that is used in racing the boats. The last chapter explains how hydroplane boats are raced including how the races are organized. Famous hydroplane boat racers are introduced and various speed records are discussed. One famous hydroplane boat racer is presented as a brief biography in the back of the book.
