"The dark menace juxtaposed with the exotic beauty and light of the Bahamas makes Island a riveting read. Hall's characters stay in your head long after the final page." Jan Grape, Mystery Scene
What was supposed to be a pleasant diversion of shark and barracuda fishing for two corporate businessmen turns out to be a nightmare. Set in the lush tropical charm of the Abaco Islands of the Bahamas, it's anything but. The men's boat gets washed ashore by
the tempestuous sea and they're forced to cast their lot with a suspicious cast of characters, including a Panamanian canal pilot named Rolf, Haitian John and two women. To make matters worse, an American ATF patrol has turned two rival Jamaican weapons trafficking bands.
Russ Hall is the author of The Blue-Eyed Indian (Silver Phoenix Press) and Wildcat Did Growl (Tropical Press). He lives in central Texas.
